Happy St. Patrick's Day Card

Today I made a Happy St. Patrick's Day Card using some of the digital images from Two Paper Divas. I chose the shamrock to begin with and printed it on green paper in two different sizes. I then ran them through one of my embossing folders and cut them out. I also added the sentiment "Happy St. Patrick's Day" from the same digital set. All in all I thought it turned out cute. I love all the different shades of green.

St. Patricks Day Bookmark

Today I decided to try my hand at some of the digital St. Patricks Day images over at Two Paper Divas. I love the Irish blessing so I decided to add it to the bookmark that i made. I also colored the pot of gold with my copic markers and used a little gold stickles to make it sparkle. So adding a little ribbon and bling and you had a cute little bookmark.

I now am inspired to make a St. Patricks Day card to send to my parents. They always enjoy getting cards in the mail. So check back tomorrow and we will see if I get my card finished.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge #134

I just love the sketch challenges over at Tuesday Morning Sketches because it always brings inspiration to my card making. This is the sketch for this week.
And this is the card that I came up with. My good friend Vannessa let me borrow this flower stamp and I have just been waiting for the right card to make with the image. I colored in the flowers and butterfly with copics. I then sponged "Pool Party" Ink from Stampin up over the image so it wasn't to white. I then added the embellishments and design paper. The paper is A Beautiful Life by Sis by Six My Minds Eye. This worked perfect with my image.
I hope you enjoyed this card. I hope to come back today with some creations from Two Paper Divas. They have some new images that I am anxious to play with.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

Today's card was made for a friend's birthday. I just love this image called ladybug Tilda. I think she is just adorable. I used the sketch over at Sketch Saturday for inspiration.
I thought this card worked perfect using the sketch above. I used my copic markers to color in the image. I then added a little bling, ribbon and rhinestones. The sentiment is a Stampin Up sentiment from Silhouette Sentiments. The Designer Paper is used was Eva Paper Pad by Basic Grey.
I'm sure my friend will enjoy this card.

PTI Swap February 2012

These 2 cards were ones that I made for a PTI swap over at Splitcoast Stampers. This first card I used Stitches & Swirls with a VersaMark in the background and then I cut out the squares using the PTI Take Three Die. I also used the PTI Floral die and the PTI butterfly die. As you can see, I am a big fan of dies. This was for the Clean and Simple category. I always seem to have a problem with this category because I want to keep adding bling.
This next card has turned out to be one of my favorites. The other I love besides dies are buttons. I think Buttons really add something to a card. So this was my second card for the swap. I love the colors. The stamp set is PTI Blooming Button Bits and the sentiment is from PTI Little Labels which fit perfectly in the space.
So I'm off to create a few more cards for the day. It has been a crafty weekend.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

What a busy week this has been. I didn't have much time to post on my blog. I have alot of projects to post but just finding the time to do it has been a challenge.

For today's post I decided to post a picture of the birthday card I made for my youngest sister. She works for Three Dog Bakery and loves her dogs so every card I make for her has to revolve around dogs.

I always like the sketch challenges at Tuesday Morning Sketches so I decided to make my card with this sketch by Jessica in mind.
When Jessica designed this sketch, she meant for it to be a card plus a scrapling so that is what I did.
The image is from the Inky Antics "Delightful Dogs #3" set which I colored with my copic markers. There are some very cute images on that set. On the scrapling I punched out a window on the front and on the inside I stamped with VersaMark an image from Inkadinkadoo Dog's Life set. I then used white embossing powder to set the image.

I think my sister will like this card. It was definitely fun to make.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #132

I am busy finishing up my Valentine cards. I thought I had an extra day but I guess the will be late in the mail. But it is the thought that counts. On this card I decided to enter the Tuesday Morning Sketch Challenge #132 which is shown below.
In my card I used the little girl from Stampin Up "Greeting Card Kids" holding the heart. I think that set has the cutest images. I used my copics to color them in. The small pink hearts are from the new Stampin Up embossed heart set.
Be sure and check back tomorrow because I will have the remainder of my Valentine cards to post.

Papertrey Ink Challenge - Day 7

I am loving these challenges by Nichole Heady with Papertrey Ink. For today's challenge, you were to create a new project that somehow incorporates hearts into the design. I chose a clean a simple card. I used the set of heart dies from PTI and randomly put them on a piece of cardstock. I then used the sentiment from PTI Stamp Set Tiny Treats: Valentine. I then put the piece of cardstock in a heart embossing folder and layed over a piece of designer paper. I used the Hearts I cut out for the center of the card.
I have loved these challenges by Papertrey Ink because I am getting alot of cards completed. Can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.

Papertrey Ink Challenge - Day 5

Today's challenge at Nichole Heady's Blog for Papertrey Ink was to Create a new project inspired by a Pinterest image. If you haven't been on Pinterest, you just don't know what you are missing. And now PTI has their own inspiration boards. You can check them out HERE. I was inspired by Dawn McVey's card that you find HERE. Isn't this the cutest card? One of my newest stamp sets from PTI was Stitches & Swirls which I stamped on the Dark Chocolate Board Card Stock with VersaMark. It gives it such a great background. I then used the square scalloped die from the Button Collection to cut out the squares. The floral die is also from PTI. The sentiment is from PTI Blooming Button Bits.

Well I am off to look at Pinterest some more. I could really spend hours looking and getting inspired there.

Happy Birthday Kathy

I made this birthday card for one of my SCS buddies Kathy Curry. She was kind enough to help me with the watermark process. I found a package of these big paperclips at Walmart and thought they would make a great bookmark. So I decorated them with a flower image and thought it made a cute little card.
So Happy Birthday to Kathy Curry. I hope she has a great day.

Another Papertrey Ink Challenge Card

Today's challenge over at Nichole Heady's Blog for Papertrey Ink was to create a new project inspired by one of the team's favorite color combos. I was inspired by Lisa Johnson's color combo as shown below. Isn't this just the greatest color combo.

This was the card that I came up with using some of my favorite Papertrey Ink stamp sets and dies.

Happy Birthday Debbi

Today I am dedicating my blog to my dear sister Debbi. She will be celebrating her birthday today. We are lucky to share our love of the outdoors. We both love our animals but she has just a few more than I do with living in the country. I am very fortunate that Debbi and I share our love of cardmaking also. I am so glad to have her as my partner in crime.
Debbi has a love of her Stampin Up "Owl" punch so I made her this owl card. I gave it to her before I could take a picture of it. The other card was made by our friend Patty. Isn't it adorable?
These two cards below were also birthday cards for Debbi made by more friends Vannessa & Cass. We are so lucky to have such a great group of friends who all join in our crazy obsession with paper.
So Happy Birthday dear sister. I hope we have many more years together in our cardmaking ventures. Thanks for being such a great sister and friend.

Papertrey Ink 5th Year Anniversary

Over at Nichole Heady's Blog they are having a 5th Year anniversary celebration for Papertrey Ink. And what a party they are having. Today's challenge was to pick one of the team members favorite projects to use as inspiration. That is very hard to do since they are all such a talented group of individuals. I chose Michelle Wooderson because I have always admired her cards. The way she layers them is just amazing. So I couldn't make a card with out the Button Boutique set. I also added a doily and ribbon. The flower image is called Flower Fusion #1 from Papertrey Ink. I used the Beautiful Blooms PTI die to cut the flower out of felt. And of course since I am getting inspiration from Michelle I had to add a button in the center. I also used the large scallop border die from PTI.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #131

Well how about this. Two blogs in one day. I needed to make some valentine cards so I went to Tuesday Morning Sketches for some inspiration. Their sketch this week fit perfectly in to my image that I had colored.
The image I used was Stampin Up "Greeting Card Kids". I just love this little set because there are 4 images in the stamp set. So cute. I used the heart stamp from Stampin Up "Sprinkles" set with my VersaMark pad to do the background. The heart border is a Knock Outs punch. I also added red eyelets and put some ribbon through them and added a cute little Love charm. The border die around the image is Picot Edge Circles from Spellbinders.
So thanks to Tuesday Morning Sketches for providing another great sketch to work with.

House Mouse Card

Today's card is for my dear friend Kathy. We have been friends for about 35 years now. We started working at the quilt shop in Olathe together and have been friends ever since. What a fun job that was. Hardly felt like work at all. So I had to do a little sewing on this card to show that my sewing machine still works. I had to used one of the House Mouse images because she has always liked mice. (Cute images of them on paper anyway).

So Happy Birthday to Kathy. I hope to get a few more cards made today. I have another birthday card to post for tomorrow.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
