Challenge Your Stash

Today my card was made for our Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoaststampers.  I decided to go through my many Newton's Nook Stamps and thought the dog stamp from Darling Duos would work perfect for my card.

I just love using my alphabet dies and using something else for the O.  Here the adorable dogs fit perfectly where the O would go.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a heart die to cut them out.  There is a matching heart die from Newton's Nook and I would highly recommend getting it because all hearts are not the same.

I decided to enter my card in the Inky Paws Challenge this week because the theme is hearts.

The Project Bin

Today for my post for The Project Bin I made a card for all those crazy dog lovers.  I have had several dogs throughout the years.  My favorites would be Corky my Welsh Corgi and Simba my Rhodesian Ridgeback.  Both will always have a special place in my heart.  I thought I had a picture of them together but I cannot find it.

I used the stamp set "Kinda Pawsome" and some fun dies I had to make a fun scenic card.  I love the dog trying to get over the fence.

I hope you check out the store at The Project Bin.  She has some new adorable stamp sets that I can't wait to play with.

Also, you need to catch The Project Bin's Debut Show on www.hochanda.com on Saturday, January 25 at 9:00am.  You will probably see some of my cards there.  How exciting for Denise.

PIP Challenge #2003

Today is Challenge #2003 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week we are lucky enough to have Lawn Fawn as our sponsor.  I am a big fan of their adorable stamp sets.   For my card today I was thinking Easter so I made a card using the stamp set "Eggstra Amazing Easter".
I just colored my images with copic markers and then fussy cut them out.  I used a cloud die for the top and a grass die for the bottom.  I just love this adorable set with the adorable chicks and bunnies.

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure and check out some of the other creations on Pammie's Inky Pinkies.

Mystery Swap #56

Today is the 18th and the due date for a Mystery Swap that I participate on SCS. This is my card for that swap.  LJ is our hostess this month and she selected this adorable image from Gina K Designs from the Country Rods 2 stamp set.
It is always fun to see what everyone does with the image.  I decided to cut part of it out at the top so the flowers would really pop.  The sentiment I used was from a Stampin Up set I had.

Thanks LJ for a great challenge.

Dueling Darlings

Today is reveal day for our Dueling Darlings on Splitcoaststampers.  Terry S. and LJ were our hostesses this month and they decided our theme this month would be penguins.  I just love coloring penguins so this was a fun challenge for me.
The image I used was Petey Penguin #2 by Inky Antics.  I colored this little guy with my copic markers and then fussy cut it out.  The Designer papers are as follows:
Polka Dot Orange - MME
Black Chevron - Paper Studio
Snowflake - American Crafts
Inside the card I used
Chilling with the Penguins - Reminisce

The clouds are a memory box swirl stich die and the sun is by lil inker.  Love both of these dies.
I knew I had to use this adorable paper for the inside of my card.  Going with the penguin theme.

So thanks to Terry and LJ for a great challenge.

Birthday Card

I needed to make a birthday card for a friend so I went to Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge #114 to give me some inspiration.  It is a sketch challenge as shown below.

For my card I wanted to do something floral so I used the stamp set "Peony Blooms" by Newtons Nook.  I also used the Frames & Flags Die set which is a favorite of mine.
I love coloring flowers with my copic markers.  I colored the large peony stamped image and then fussy cut it out.  I used a solid green for the bottom part and stamped a few leaves from the stamp set.  I then colored them with matching copic colors.  The sentiment is from Beautiful Wings.  The designer paper is Spring Fling by Echo Park.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my latest project.

The Project Bin

This will be my first card for The Project Bin this year.  I am so fortunate to be on the Design Team for this wonderful small stamp company.  I feel we must support the small companies because they are so important to our craft.

For my card today I made this fun card using the stamp set "Anchors Away".  I stamped the image on designer paper from Marina by Mintay.  I colored just a few items on the stamp set.  I love the colors in this card.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be posting another project in 2 weeks.  For 2020 I will be posting the first & third Wednesday of every month for The Project Bin.  Be sure and check back because I have some fun cards in store for my blog.

Crafters of Faith Challenge

I am excited that we are starting another year with our Crafters of Faith Challenge group on Splitcoaststampers.

To start out 2020 our hostess is Shelly.  The chose 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 for her scripture this month.  "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of all compassion and God of all encouragement, who encourages us in our every affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in any affliction with the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.  For as Christ's sufferings overflow to us, so through Christ does our encouragement also overflow."

Shelly challenged us to make a get well card for our challenge and send to someone to put a smile on their face.  We have had so much respiratory illness and the flu going around that this is definitely going to come in handy.

This image is by Unity called "Lucy the Ladybug Fairy".  I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a MFT elegant rectangle to cut it out.  The sentiment came with the stamp set.  Perfect to send to someone who is struggling with an illness.

PIP Challenge #2001

Welcome to 2020.  I hope this brings everyone happiness and health.  We are starting off at Pammie's Inky Pinkies with a fun challenge (Anything Goes) with the sponsor being Limited Runs Digital Stamps.
For my card today I used the stamp "Snail Mail" from Limited Runs.  I thought this was a cute little image and I printed it off and colored it with my copic markers.
I stenciled the background of the card with clouds and then stenciled the sunrays over the clouds.  I scanned the image after coloring it with my Scan n cut and I just love the way it perfectly cut out the image.  I pop dotted the snail in the center of the sun rays.  The sentiments are from the stamp set also and work just perfectly with the image.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you join us over at PIP Challenges with your creations.  And thanks to Limited Runs for being our sponsor this week.

A year In Review

Happy 2020!  I hope everyone is getting a good start to 2020.  We are having wonderful weather in Kansas so I am loving it.

2019 was a hard year for me since I lost my mother in January 2019.  There is no one that can replace a mother.  I did a special dedication to my mom on February 7.  You can see it HERE if you missed it.

I decided to go back through all my posts for 2019 and see what the most viewed card was. I am going to list the top 5 cards for 2019.

The most viewed card was on February 13 with this adorable valentine card.  I used 2 stamp sets from The Project bin which were In My Heart and Really Hungry.
The second most viewed card was on June 23 with this adorable Newtons Nook card.  If you know me, you know I am a huge fan of Newton's Nook cards.
Coming in third was this adorable treat bag I made for Valentines Day for The Project Bin design team on January 23 using the Really Hungry Stamp Set.
Coming in fourth place was another card I made for The Project Bin on February 27.  For this card I used the stamp set The Gratest.
And coming in 5th place is another card I made using Newton's Nook stamps on April 14.

So it has been a fun year on my little blog.  I always start out the year saying I will post more of my creations.  That goes as well as my weight loss program I start on January 1 and fail on January 2.  This year I just hope to have healthier eating habits.

I received a Selphy for Christmas so I hope to post more and take more pictures.

Thanks for stopping by. and going down memory lane with me.
