Twisted Tuesday is hosting their first blog hop starting today. When you participate and post a comment on each Design Team member's blog, you'll be entered into a prize drawing for a Blue Button Stamps prize give away.
The
challenge today is to make something girly. The twist is to make
something about friends. My card was made for a friend of mine (Cass)
who joins me in this crazy hobby of scrapbooking. I used the Stampavie
image called "Big Squeeze" that was sent to me from one of my Splitcoast
friends, Imke. I absolutely love this little stamp. The perfect card
for friends.
So
back to the blog hop. We have alot of new members on our Design Team
for Twisted Tuesday Challenges and thought the best way to introduce
them was to have a blog hop. Be sure and check out each of the members
and comment for a drawing for a prize. Good Luck!

Raffle Dresdan Plate Quilt
The farmers market in Paola will be starting soon. There is nothing better than fresh produce. I love going down there and just browsing through all the vendors. I always have to buy some fresh pecans and any thing else that might catch my eye.
This year they are going to raffle this quilt that I made and the money will go towards the Miami County Cancer Society. They are such helpful people as I found out this year when my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma. The raffle tickets are only $1 and can be purchased there or through me or my sister, Debbi Duncan.
This quilt is a queen size dresdan plate. Each plate is hand quilted and the rest is machine quilted.

Challenge #17 10 minute craft dash
I found this wonderful challenge called the 10 minute craft dash. This works perfectly for when I need a birthday card pronto. No matter how I plan, it seems that birthdays always creep up. I made this birthday card in 3 minutes and 50 seconds. I guess it goes to show that you don't have to spend alot of time working on your cards to come up with something beautiful.
I started with a cream colored card base. I then used Stampin Up Pear Pizzazz to stamp the leaves which are from Papertrey Ink Turning a New Leaf. I then stamped the flower using Stampin Up Calypso Coral Ink which is from the Wplus9 Very Vintage Floral Stamp Set. I use Papertrey Ink Birthday die and the happy was from Wonderful Words: Birthday from Papertrey Ink. I added 3 pearls and had my card. I was pleased with the way it turned out.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge
Today is another challenge at Twisted Tuesday Challenges. The challenge and twist today is to show what you are working on now. Well since Mother's Day is right around the corner, I decided to post a picture of the Mother's Day Card I made. I first embossed a piece of velum with the Manhattan Flower Stampin Up embossing folder. I then sponged different colors on the back and cut it out and placed it on my card front. I love the look of velum and when you give it a little color in the background, it really pops.
Since this is for Mother's Day I decided to enter it in "Hiding in My Craft Room" challenge because the challenge is Mother's Day.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge
I am really excited about the challenge at Twisted Tuesday today because I got to incorporate 2 things that I love. The first part of the challenge was to use chalk, glitter, spritz spray, distress inks or copic markers. Well of course I pulled out my copics and one of my favorite stamps by My Favorite things called "A Box of Love". I just love this stamp set. I colored the girl with my markers and then cut the dress out and then cut another layer for the box of chocolates.
The second part of the challenge was to do something that reminds you of chocolate. I had seen this on Pinterest and it sure does look like a chocolate bar. The squares are 3/4 x 1" on the bottom and 5/8 x 7/8" on the top. The aluminum foil was actually from a large Lindt bar someone had sent me. Too bad I had to eat the bar so I could use the foil.
Thanks for taking a look and be sure and join us this time at Twisted Tuesday for this challenge.

ICE Resin
I took a class last weekend at RTRT in Gardner and I must say that I loved it. I have a few more projects planned using the technique we learned. I tried to incorporate things I like and this is what I ended up with. Sorry the picture is a little blurry but I was shaking when I took the picture.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge
Today's challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges was so much fun for me. The challenge this week was to use an animal in my project. Well if anyone knows me they won't be surprised that I used a yellow cat since I have 2 at home. The twist of this challenge was to use flowers which is another favorite of mine.
I received a wonderful kit from one of my SCS friends, Vickie, and decided this would be perfect to use with this project. The paper I used is from Fact and Fiction from Basic Grey. Vickie also sent me these cute YoYo flowers so I thought it would be perfect with my card. The stems for the flowers are a diecut from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Stampin Up.
Be sure and check out Twisted Tuesday Challenges blog today because Melina has some news on her blog.
