My favorite for 2018

Today I thought I would post my favorite card for 2018.  For all of you who know me well, you know that coloring images is my therapy.  Well Power Poppy has some amazing stamp sets if you like to color.  I saw a Christmas card on their blog and decided that I wanted to make those for 2018.  Well at least I can say I got one accomplished for a dear friend of mine.  Her name is Silvia and has the biggest heart of anyone I know.  I am so lucky to have her for a friend.  She is always ready to go for any venture I might come up with.  She loves all the hobbies I do and just fun to be around.
The stamp set I used is called Glitter House Stamp Set.  I stamped the image off and then colored it with my copic markers.  I added a little glitter for the snow.  I then used a fence die for the front of the card.

So wishing everyone a Happy New Year and I hope 2019 brings you good health and lots of creative fun.  I have signed up for a lot of crops in the area and looking forward to a year of fun and fellowship with all my friends.

SCS Challenge Your Stash

Today my card comes from challenges over on Splitcoaststampers.  I always go there for inspiration and they never let me down.  I started my card with a challenge group I am in and it is to make a card or project with something you have in your stash.  Well we all know I have plenty in my stash.  The hostess this month was Jody and her challenge for us was to use an owl in our card.  Well that was an easy one since I have lots of owl stamps.  The problem was "Which one should I use"?

Since I ran out of Christmas cards this year, I decided to get a jump on 2019 cards.  The stamp set I used was Happy owlidays by Sunny Studio.  I love this stamp set and think is made an adorable card.
For my layout, I used the Sketch Challenge this week at Splitcoaststampers.
So thanks for stopping by.  I will be posting again this weekend with some exciting news and my favorite card of the year that I made.  Be sure and stop by.

PIP Challenge #1849

Over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies we are set for another Challenge today.  It will be Challenge #1849 and the sponsor this month is Di's Digi Stamps.

For my card today I selected one of Di's adorable images called "Izzys Balloons" and right now the image is only $1.  Where can you find a bargain like that?

I sized the image and printed it off on my printer.  I then colored it with my copic markers.  I used a MFT stacking die for the background.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope to see your creations over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies this week.

Crafters of Faith

Today is reveal day for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  Jeanette is our host for December and her challenge is from Luke 2:8-10...And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night.  An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people".

Jeanette challenged us to focus on the words "Do not be afraid".
One of my greatest fears is of heights so I decided to use a die of skyscrapers  because I am not a fan of tall buildings.

Thanks to Jeanette for a great challenge.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies

Today is another challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This will be challenge #1847 and our sponsor this week is Limited Run Digital Stamps.

We are having a bit of a snow storm in the Midwest so this is the perfect image for me to use this week.

This image is called Little Tree.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then used stickles around the trim on her hat and coat.  The background die is Snowflake rectangle by Yvonne Creations.

I hope you check out the Limited Run store because they have amazing digital stamps on their site.  I love the storage space digital stamps take.  (Like none!)

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and join us over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.

Dueling Darlings

November is National Aviation History Month so LJ and Terry chose this as our challenge for this month.
The image is from "Sky is the Limit" by Stampin Up.  The Designer paper is "Going Places" by Stampin Up.  I also love the embossing folder "World Traveller" by Stampin Up that was used for this card also.

Great theme from Terry and LJ.

PIP Challenge #1845

I can't believe we are almost half way through November.  I feel it in the weather with the days quite chilling but November & December seem to speed fast.

Today over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies we are doing Challenge #1845 which is sponsored by Newton's Nook which is one of my favorite stamp companies.  It must be all those adorable cat stamps.
For my card today I chose to use the image "Harvest Tails" which is the perfect fall card.  I colored the adorable deer and pumpkins with my Chameleon pencils and blended it with Gamsol.  I used the Pumpkin Patch Stencil for my background using about 3 colors to use on my background.  I topped off the card with the autumn greetings sentiment flag.

Thanks for stopping by and another thanks to Newton's Nook for sponsoring our challenge this week.  I hope you visit their store and see their adorable stamps.

Crafters of Faith

Today is reveal day for our "Crafters of Faith" group over on Splitcoast Stampers.  Our challenge today was from Vickie and she chose 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks is all circumstances for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

I was at a crop recently and a friend gave me a bible she had bought at a garage sale.  I am calling it my trial bible because I still have trouble coloring in my pretty bible.  I believe it goes back to when I was in school and my mother told me "don't write in your books".

So I went to the page of 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and first covered my page with clear gesso.  I traced the hands on to the page and then made a mask over the hands so I could stamp the sun rays.  I then colored the hands with my copic markers and stamped pray on to my page.

I am so glad I tried this out on my "trial" bible because I would do a few things different.  I would gesso the whole page.  Since the pages are so thin, I tore it a bit when pulling the tape up.  Also I would not use a pencil to trace the pattern on.  Did not work well with my copics.

PIP Challenge #1843

Challenge #1843 at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges, our theme is "Leaves" and is sponsored by Di's Digital Stamps.  She has some adorable images in her store so please check out her store.  Later this week I hope to post a picture of a card I am making with one of her digital stamps.

Since our challenge this week is leaves, I decided to make a card using a new technique I learned using waxed paper.  There is a great tutorial on how to do it at "The Graphic Fairy".
I used a leaf embossing folder for this card and a Stampin Up stamp for the leaf and acorns.  Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your project at Pammie's Inky Pinky Challenges for a chance to win a $12 gift certificate to Di's Digital Stamps.

Challenge Your Stash

Today's project is for a challenge on Splitcoast Stampers in our "Challenge Your Stash" group.  Suzy was our hostess this month and she said to create a Halloween card.  Well I have been busy making Halloween treat boxes for a crop I am helping my sister with.  So I thought this would be the perfect thing for my challenge.

I made 50 of these matchbox treat boxes using my envelope punch board.  I then colored 50 of these adorable images from Stampin Up Trick or Tweet stamp set.  Since our event is called "Spooktakular" I thought the sentiment was perfect.  When you open the box, the image pops up.

What fun these were to make.  Thanks Suzy for a great challenge.

Dueling Darlings

I am a day late in posting my challenge card for our Dueling Darlings group over at Splitcoaststampers.  In this thread we have 2 groups (Dazzlers and Divas).  Each month we have a hostess for each group.  This month our hostesses were Kelly and Jeanette.  I am in the Dazzler group and received a kit from Jeanette.  The theme this month is Kindness.
The image Jeanette selected was "Teddy and Me" by Stampavie.  The kind word was from Simon Says.  I colored up the image with my copic markers and used a MFT die to outline the image.  Thanks to Jeanette for a great challenge.

Well it doesn't end here.  Kelly accidently sent me her image also so I thought I would have fun with it.
The image is from Unity Stamps.  I colored up the image with my copic markers and then cut it out with a circle.  I tried to use most of the fun embellishments that Kelly sent.

Thanks girls for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #1841

Monday brings around Challenge #1841 for Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week is sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.
They will be offering a $15 prize code to a lucky winner so be sure and link up your creation over at PIP Challenges.
For my card I used the "Squirrel with Acorns" digital stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs. I colored this cute little guy with my copic markers and then added the acorn and leaf diecuts.  I hope you have tried their digital stamps.  They are such a bargain and you can size them easily and they can be stored in your computer.  How much easier does it get?

Thanks for stopping by and check back tomorrow because I have 2 cards I will be posting.

Happy Fall

Today I am sharing a card I made for a challenge over at Splitcoaststampers.  Vickie was our hostess this month and she was able to choose the image.
The image is from a retired Stampin Up set called Sweet Seasons.  I colored the image with my copic markers and added the SU Leaf and used the SU punch for the sentiment on the side.

I know fall is just around the corner because I am seeing lots of pumpkins out and the trees have started to turn colors.  What a beautiful season.

Crafters of Faith

Today is reveal day for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  Liz is our hostess this month and she chose the scripture Luke 11:9 "Ask and it shall be given to you.  Seek and ye shall find.  Knock and it shall be opened onto you."  Liz challenged us to use a stamp or something that was given to us by someone.  Well I have some great friends that create with me and they are always giving me such wonderful things.

My friend Silvia gave me this adorable card stamp because she knows I have 2 cats.  I stamped the image off onto a 4 x 5 1/4" card base and colored it with my copic markers.   I had to color them to match my kitties.  The sentiment was from The Stamps of Life called fluffy cat pudgie4.  My sister gave me this set for my birthday and I thought it would be perfect for the card.

Thanks for the great challenge Liz.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #1839

Two weeks sure has flown by.  It is hard to believe that it is October 1st already.  We are still having warm weather so it doesn't really feel like fall yet.  Today brings us Challenge #1839 for Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  I am super excited about our challenge this week because it is sponsored by one of my all time favorite stamp companies "Newton's Nook Designs".  I guess I love their stamps so much because I am a cat lover and their cat stamps have such personality.

I decided to go a different route this week because I also love florals and I used Peony Blooms by Newton's Nook Designs for my card.
I just purchased the Altenew watercolor 36 Pan Set and I just love the colors in the set.  I am still working on my watercolor technique.  The scalloped designer paper is from Newton's Nook Designs "Frames & Flags Die".  I use it a lot because it makes such a beautiful border.

I stamped the image on watercolor paper with Versafine black ink and then used a clear embossing powder over the ink.  This gives the image a nice raised effect and is great when doing watercoloring.

Thanks to Newton's Nook Designs for being our sponsor this week.  Be sure and check out the rest of the Design Team beautiful creations at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Join us with your creation on the blog because it is "Anything Goes" when you submit your design.

Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for our "Challenge your Stash" group that I am in on Splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess this month was Barb and she challenged us to make a fall fancy fold card.

For my card I decided to use the "Foxes" stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs.  I am such a fan of foxes so I thought this would be so cute for a fall card.  I colored the fox image and the wreath image with my copic markers.  I got my idea for the fold part of the card from "The Crafty Owl".  The Thank you circle is pop dotted on the card so the orange scalloped frame will tuck right behind it.

Below you will see a picture of the inside of the card.

Thanks Barb for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #1837

Monday brings us challenge #1837 from Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The sponsor this week is Sparkle N Sprinkle.  You should really check out some of their adorable digital stamps.  They are so much fun to color.  For my card I am using "Friendship Flowers".
I just love coloring flowers so this was the perfect digital stamp for me.  I printed the digital stamp off on my printer and then colored the image with my copic markers.  I then fussy cut out the image and pop dotted the Friendship sentiment over the watering can.  The sentiment on the bottom is also from that stamp set.

If you haven't tried digital stamps, now is the time because Sparkle N Sprinkle as such fun digital images to work with.  Sparkle N Sprinkle is giving away a $15 gift code to a lucky winner this week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  So let's see your talents and as always "Anything Goes".

Dueling Darlings

I sure don't seem to get much posting done lately.  Time just goes so fast.

Today is revel day for our Dueling Darlings.  Suzy and Debby were our hostesses this month and they decided to pick Sunflowers for their theme.  We sure have been seeing a lot of Sunflowers here in Kansas but not a bummer crop because of the drought earlier in the year.

The stamp used is from Stampability called "Hammock Hibernations .  I just love this adorable bear.  I colored the image with my copic markers and decided not to add much else because the cute little image speaks for itself.

Thanks Debby for sending such an adorable kit.

Crafters of Faith September Card

Today is reveal day for our Crafters of Faith group in Splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess this month is Susan and she chose for her challenge scripture from Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heard and my portion forever.  Her challenge was for us to make a card that illustrates that God is the strength of your heart.
Fall is my favorite time of year and I am always amazed at God's hand in the beautiful fall colors.  I colored this image with copic markers and then die cut the leaf pattern out.  So much fun to make.

Thanks Susan for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #1835

Happy Labor Day!  Today is time for another challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  I was so excited this week because one of my favorite digital companies is the sponsor this month.  It is Bugaboo Stamps.
If you haven't been to their store, you must visit because their digital stamps are so cute.  Since the weather is getting a little cooler here in Kansas, I decided to go with a fall theme.
I am a real lover of foxes.  Whether it be a stamp or a die.  They are just so cute.  The name of this stamp is Fall Autumn Fox.  I printed the image off and colored it with my copic markers.  I then added some leaves and twine to give it a fall look.

Thanks for stopping by and remember "Anything Goes" over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.

Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for our "Challenge Your Stash" on Splitcoast Stampers.  Vickie was the hostess this month and decided our challenge should be something with a farm theme.  Well since I come from a farming community (in my past - currently a city gal) I loved the challenge.
I colored all my animals with my copic markers and then put it all together.  The animals are from a retired Two Paper Divas set called Farm Animals.  I miss that stamp company so much and refer to my collection of their stamps quite often.  I printed the sentiment on my computer because I didn't really have a good sentiment.

Inky Paws Challenge #79

Today I decided to make a fun card for a challenge over at Splitcoast Stampers.  You were to use a third of your card.  Then for a little additional inspiration I noticed a fun challenge over at Newtons Nook that would work perfect for my card.
As you can see it is a color challenge.  I first taped off the 2 sides of my card with blue painters tape and then  I pulled out my distress oxides (Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber & Peacock Feathers) and just started blending.

After blending I peeled off the blue painters tape and realized it had stuck to the paper.  I should of used the purple tape.  So I just cut the strip out and glued to a piece of white cardstock.  I stamped the adorable image  from the Newton's Nook Stamp Set "Newton Loves Coffee".  I then colored the image with my copic markers, trying to match up the background colors.  I fussy cut the image out and pop dotted him on to the front of the card.  I stamped the sentiment and added a few sequins to the card.

Thanks to Newtons Nook for a great challenge and giving us a little inspiration to work with.

PIP Challenge #1833

Time again for another challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This will be challenge #1833 and as always "Anything Goes".  The sponsor for our challenge this week is by Polkadoodles and boy do they have some adorable images.  I hope you check out their store because they have digital stamps and also clear stamps if you are interested.
For my card I decided to use their image "Winnie Wonderland Hat".  I started by picking out the designer paper and then coloring the image with my copic markers to match.  I am really happy with how bright and cheerful this turned out to be.

I hope you enter the challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  It is so much fun seeing all the great creations designed by you.

I decided to enter this card in the Polkadoodles Crafting Challenge this week because the theme is "Anything Goes".

Unidentified Image Swap Round #39

Today is the due date for Round #39 of our Unidentified Image Swap.  Janet selected this image this month.
This adorable little guy is a retired Whipper Snapper image and who doesn't love Whipper Snapper images".  I colored the image with my copic markers and then added the anchor die that someone had cut out for me and given me.  Thought it worked well with the image.

Thanks Janet for a great image.

Dueling Darlings

Today is reveal day for the Dueling Darlings.  The hostesses this month were Terry L. and Tami.  They picked a great theme this month.  The theme is "wine".
The image is by Art Impressions called "Wine Divas".  The sentiment is from MFT called "Uncorked".  I colored this image with my copic markers and then put to a card layout.  The flowers are "Got Flowers" and I colored the white "Brides" flowers to coordinate with the paper with my copic markers.  The gems are from "The Paper Studio".

Thanks to Terry and Tami for a great challenge this month.  I loved coloring up this adorable image.

Crafters of Faith

I think it is going to be a busy week on my blog.  I have been trying to finish a lot of my projects that are sitting on my desk.  Dawn is our hostess this month and she chose Psalm 119:105 for her scripture.  "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path".  She challenged us to use fireflies in our card.

I remember having these firefly stamps from Two Paper Divas who have since retired and are no longer in business.  I love pulling out some of their stamps because they are my favorites and I continue to use them.  The glass jar, lid and sentiment are also by Two Paper Divas.  I colored my little fireflies and then cut them out and placed in the jar and outside the jar. I thought the designer paper in the background worked well for a night sky.

Thanks to Dawn for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #1831

Today is the start of Challenge #1831 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The challenge this week is "Anything Goes" and is sponsored by Digital Delights.
For my card today I decided to use the stamp "Crayon Bee".  School is about ready to start in our area and I thought this would be the appropriate card for the season.
I printed off the image on my printer and then colored this adorable image with my copic markers.  I hope to see your creations over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.

Challenge Your Stash

Well today is reveal day for our "Challenge Your Stash" group on Splitcoaststampers.  Barb was our hostess this month and she asked us to pick one of the Color Challenges from Splitcoaststampers.  I decided to go with CC486 which included the colors Calypso Coral, Olive Green and Daffodil Delight.
I first cut out the flowers and leaves which are from the MFT Stitched Blooms Die set.  I just love this set.  The stitching is so detailed on each die.  I then put 2 colors of distress oxide on my vinyl mat and sprayed them with water.  I then dipped each die cut in the mixture and let them dry.  I put a layer of Squeezed Lemonade Distress oxide in the center of the white front to give it a little color for the background.  I then layered the flowers on the card.  I added the sentiment die (Creative Expressions) and stamped the sentiment on the bottom of the card.

I had cut 1/2" off the bottom of the front of my card and added a 3/4" piece of striped paper on the bottom inside of my card to give it a different look.

Thanks Barb for a great challenge this month.

I printed off the image on my Canon printer and then colored it with my copic markers.  I added a few flowers to accent this sweet little girl.

Hope you enjoyed my card and that you join us in the challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies because one lucky winner will win 3 free digital images from Polkadoodles.

Dueling Darlings

I am so excited about my cards today.  The Dueling Darlings on Splitcoaststampers has a monthly challenge and I loved what Terry and Terry has come up with this month.

The theme this month is bees.  Did you know that the greatest threat to bees in North America today is Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD)?  This is where entire hive of bees suddenly disappear.  In the early 2000s there was a sharp increase, especially in North American.  There is still uncertainty about the cause or causes of CCD;  disease, mites, increased use of neonicotinoid pesticides and fungal infections are all possibilities.  There are often multiple stressors, none of which is lethal enough by itself, but the combination is too much for the bees.

The annual failure rate of honeybee colonies averages around 30% in North America.  Honeybee losses are potentially devastating economically since bee pollination is vital to at least one-third of crops worldwide.  So in honor of our honeybees, I have made 3 cards with my kit.

I used the following in making my cards.
Hero Arts "Busy as a Bee" colored with copic markers
Designer Paper from The Paper Studio
SU Hexagon Hive die
SU Hexagons Dynamic on vellum sponged with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide
The paper Studio gold doily
Several embellishments

Thanks to Terry and Terry for making us aware of the honeybees plight and offering up a great challenge this month.

This weeks sponsor is Di's Digi Stamps .  Be sure and check there store out because they have adorable images.

For my card today I decided to post a picture of a bookmark card I made.  I used the Adorn It Paintable bookmark image and colored it with my watercolor pencils.  I just love the way it turned out.

Thanks for stopping by.

Crafters of Faith

Since today is the 7th of the month, it is time to post my card for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  Sue was the hostess this month and she chose Proverbs 3:5-6 for our scripture this month.  "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.  In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight"

Our challenge was to make a card that illustrates a time we trusted in the Lord or a path you walked in faith.

Many people who know me are aware that I like to move every couple of years.  Well in each move I have had to trust in the Lord to help us make the right decision with our move.  It is usually a stressful time with wondering if you have done the right thing.  Well if you put your trust in the Lord, things always have a way of working out.

So for my card for the challenge I made a Happy New Home card.  I'm sure I will be able to use it at some time.  The house and trees are a Two Paper Divas Stamp that I colored with my copic markers and then fussy cut them out.  The center die is from Waffle Flower called Stitched Flower Center Inverted.  I also used the Memory Box Swirly Cloud die and a small heart punch for the red heart.  I used Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide to color the center of the card.

Thanks to Sue for a great challenge.

Challenge Your Stash

Since today is the 28th, it means time for me to go through my stash and create something for our Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoaststampers.  Lola was our hostess this month and she asked that we use an elephant or a flamingo in our creation.

I chose to use a flamingo because I just love the colors of these beautiful birds.  We sure done see these in Kansas cut they are still popular.
This is actually an Art Play Paintable by Adornit called Let's Be Friends.  You get 12 adorable images and I chose to color up this one with my zig clean color watercolor markers.

Thanks for stopping by.

PIP Challenge #1825

Do you believe the 4th of July is right around the corner?  What happened to June?

Today is challenge #1825 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor today is

For my card today I decided to go patriotic and celebrate the 4th of July.  I printed off the image "USA Myrtle the Turtle" and colored it with my copic markers.

I then used an oval die and cut the image out.  By adding a few stars here and there I think it makes the perfect patriotic card.

Thanks for stopping by and remember that you can submit your project to Pammie's Inky Pinkies because Anything Goes and you could win a nice prize from Digital Delights.

Since it's the 15th of the month, this means it is time for the Dueling Darlings Duel.  The hostesses this month are Shelly and Carol.  The theme is Everything is Coming Up Roses.

I colored my image with copic markers and added a little sunray with distress oxide ink in the back of the roses.

Shelly and Carol also asked us to share what our favorite color of roses is and I would have to say pink.

PIP Challenge #2409

I am a little late in posting my card for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2409 .  Our internet was down all day yesterday.  Oh the joys of...
