PIP Challenge #2251

I can't believe today is the last post for PIP Challenges for the year.  This month has just flown by.  For PIP Challenge #2251 we are being sponsored by Polkadoodles.

If you like to color images, Polkadoodles is the place to buy your digital stamps.  Plus they are having a fantastic sale right now.  I am still making Christmas cards because no matter how I try, I never have enough.  Each year I am going to do a little better.

For my card today I am using the adorable image called "Hot Chocolate - Gingerbread".  Such a fun image to color with my copic markers.  The designer paper I used are from Simples Stories called Mix and a Mingle.  I cut the image out after coloring it with my scan n cut which sure makes life easy.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the Polkadoodles store.

PIP Challenge #2249

Do you believe Christmas is only 20 days away?  Where does the time go?  Today for Pammie's Inky Pinkies challenge #2249 I have decided to make another Christmas card since I seem to be short this year.  Our sponsor this week is Lawn Fawn.  Which is another favorite stamp company of mine.

I have so many Lawn Fawn stamps that is was hard to decide which one to use.  Since I was going with a Christmas theme I decided to use the Snow Globe Scenes stamp set.
The designer paper I used was Christmas Time from Newton's Nook.  I stamped the image and fussy cut it out.  I then colored it with my copic markers and added a little bit of Crystal Stickles.

Such a fun and quick card to color up.  Thanks to Lawn Fawn for sponsoring us this week at PIP Challenges.

PIP Challenge #2247

This week Pammie's Inky Pinkies is being sponsored by StarStampz for Challenge #2247.

For my card today I was able to use the image "Me and My Snowman".  I just realized that I don't have all my Christmas cards made.  Yikes - I need to get busy.  I printed off the image on my printer and colored it with my copic markers.

After coloring the image I used a spellbinder die to cut out the image.  The designer papers are scraps I found in my Christmas paper stash.  I also cut out some snowflakes with glitter paper and the blue paper and layers them on each side.  The Happy Holidays is from Honey Bee Stamps.  I also added a few Pink Fresh gems on the card.  I added stickles on the hat of the girl.

Thanks to Star Stampz for sponsoring us this month.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:
Crafty Catz Challenge - Anything Goes with a twist of Christmas

For my card today I am using the Cardinal and Poinsettia digital stamp from her store.

For this card I was able to do some fun coloring with my copic markers.  I then cut the image out and added the Taylored Expressions scalloped rectangle die in red.  The designer paper I used was from Recollections called City Sidewalks.  I also added a few red gems to the card.

PIP Challenge #2243

This week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges we are being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

For my project, I chose the 3D Small pumpkin file.
I used a solid color orange and the striped paper for my pumpkin.  After seeing some of the other pumpkins that the design team did, I wish I would of added more layers.

Check out the one The Cutting Cafe has on their website.  That is what your pumpkin could look like.
Also be sure and check out what the rest of the design team did on PIP Challenges this week.

Dueling Darlings 2

The 15th of the month is here which means it is time for our Dueling Darling challenge.  Kelly decided that our theme this month would be Gotcha Day!  Which means that this is the 1 year anniversary of Kelly rescuing a kitty cat named Oliver.  He sure is a lucky cat to be adopted by Kelly's family.  It seems like just yesterday that we adopted 2 kitties from a rescue center.  Can't believe they are 15 years old now and not slowing down one bit.

Their names are Rocky and Reggie and are usually the best of friends.  A few spats here and there but hey that is what siblings do.

For my card I am using CC Designs Cat with chickies.  I used the half circle die to cut the image out.  The papers are from S.E.I Crafts called Madeleine collection.

Thanks to Kelly for a great challenge this month.  What a great theme.

You can see the other cards by clicking their names below.

PIP Challenge #2241

Today's challenge over  at Pammie's Inky Pinkies is being sponsored by Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The winner will win a $10 gift certificate to My Favorite Things.

I decided to go through my stamps and use one from My Favorite Things Store.

I am making several of these treat bags.  Found these green and white striped bags in my stash and thought they would make a nice candy gift sack.  The bunny is from MFT BB Frightfully Sweet stamp set.  There are some adorable critter images on this stamp set so I stamped them all off and started coloring away.  This one used the bunny.  The sentiment is also from that stamp set.

I hope to see lots of entries this week over at PIP Challenges.  I know everyone would like to win a gift certificate to My Favorite Things.

Create From Your Stash

I should of had this post done for first thing this morning but the day has gotten away from me.  It has been a cleaning day for me.  The weather is gorgeous so it always inspires me to clean my screened in porch which lead to sweeping out the garage.  One thing always leads to another.

For today's challenge on Splitcoaststampers, Vickie is our hostess and she challenged us to go to our stash and make a card with Autumn Leaves.  I dug through my stash and pulled out one of my favorite Newton's Nook Stamp sets called "Autumn Mice".  The paper I used was from Newton's Nook called "Autumn".

I colored the image with my copic markers and then cut it out and made a tag with the image.  I found the sketch challenge over at Inky Paws Challenge and decided to make my card using it.  I just turned my card upside to give it a little different perspective.
Thanks to Vickie for a great challenge this month for us and thanks to Inky Paws Challenge for providing such a great sketch challenge.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2239

Today I made a card for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2239.  This week is being sponsored by Beccy's Place.

For my card I was able to use an image from the Snow Time Digital Stamp Set.  On this amazing stamp set, there are 3 snowman images and 5 different sentiments to pick from.
For my card I decided to use a simple layout because I wanted to focus on the adorable snowman.  I printed the image off and then colored it with my copic markers.

My copic color choices were:
Red - R27, R24, R22
Orange Nose - YR16, YR12
Green - YG17, YG13, YG11
Hat - C7, C5, C3
Yellow Stars - Y19, Y15
Brown - E33, E31, E50
I always love to go around all my images with BG000 to make it pop.

I then cut the card down to 4 x 5 1/4 and added a 1/2" strip of red striped paper and a 1/4" strip of green paper to the left side of card.  I then backed it with a 4.25 x 5.5 piece of red cardstock.

What a simple card but this snowman is just so adorable and fun to color.  Special thanks to Beccy's Place for sponsoring PIP Challenges this week.

Inky Paws Challenge

I have been having fun with some new Stamps and Dies I recently purchased from Vintage in KC (my favorite paper arts store in our area).  They are designed by Newtons Nook Designs.  I decided that I would check out the Inky Paws Challenge this week and make a card for the challenge.  The challenge this week is a color challenge.

I always love color challenges.  For my card I am using one of their new fall stamps called Harvest Haul.  I stamped the image on Neenah Classic Crest Paper and then used the matching Die to cut the image out.  The background paper is from their Autumn Paper Pad which is a really nice quality paper.  The oval die and scalloped oval dies are from their Oval Die Frames Set.
The small fall leaves are from the same set as is the sentiment at the bottom.  I am loving my new purchases of Newtons Nook Design stamps and dies.

Dueling Darling 2

The 15th of the month is here which means it is time for the Dueling Darling 2 challenge.  This month our hostesses were Terry and Darlene.  Darlene sent me an adorable kit that was so fun to make something with.  The challenge this month was "Free For All" and Darlene sent me some fun freebies that she had collected over the years.

For my card I used a little stamp from Inkadoo and the sentiment was from a little set from Taylored Expressions.  The flowers are cut with a flower die from Taylored Expressions.  I tried my hand at stamping on ribbon with a stamp set from Taylored Expressions.  The ribbons are from American Crafts as the papers are also from American Crafts.  I added a gem from The Paper Studio in the center of the flowers.  I cut out the hearts from one of the pieces of paper that Darlene sent me.

What a fun challenge this month.  I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

You can see the other cards by clicking their names below.

Today's challenge #2237 for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges is being sponsored by Jan's Digi Stamps.

For my card today I was able to use the digital stamp "Crafty Friends".   I have alot of crafty friends so not sure who will get this card but I sure had fun coloring this image with my copics markers.

I printed the image off on my printer and then I cut it out with the MFT Stitched Mod rectangle die.  I also added the sentiment at the bottom.

Thanks to Jan's Digi Stamps for sponsoring PIP Challenges this week.  You need to check out their store because they have some beautiful stamps and they are having a nice fall sale right now.

I am also adding my card to Jan's Digi Stamps Challenges where the challenge is Anything Goes.

Inky Paws Challenge #181

I was so excited when I went in to our local paper arts store to find she had ordered some Newton's Nook Designs new fall stamps and dies.  Well that is a real weakness for me because I love their stamps.  I decided to make a card for the Inky Paws Challenge #181 with my new purchases.

For my card I used the new stamp set called Autumn Oval.  I loved coloring this fall scene with those adorable pumpkins.  I used the Oval Frames Dies to cut around the stamped design.  I love shaker cards so I fussy cut the center of the stamp out and added some clear acetate.  I then added thin strips of foam all around.  I stamped the sentiment on a yellow piece of cardstock and cut it out with the same oval die as the stamp.  The scalloped oval is also from that die set.  These gorgeous papers are from Newton's Nook Designs called Autumn and they are such nice papers.  So fun to play with.

Thanks for stopping by to see my card and thanks to Inky Paws Challenge this week to get me in the fall spirit.

Holiday Cheer

This month I was asked to be a guest designer for the Fan Club Christmas Challenge at Splitcoaststampers.  This challenge is for fan club members.  If you are not a fan member, please join.  The ideas and inspiration you get from being a fan member is just amazing.

Of course I had to use one of my favorite stamp sets from Newtons Nook Designs called "Festive Fawns".  I just loved coloring the image with my copic markers.  I used a small tree diecut I had and the stitched hillside die from Lawn Fawn.  Such a fun card to create.

Since this is the last Monday of the month, Pammie's Inky Pinkies has a theme challenge this week which is use a Bird.  The winner this week will win a $10 gift card from Power Poppy

I love Power Poppy digital stamps.  Not a surprise to anyone that knows me and knows how much I love to color with my copic markers.  This week gave me the perfect opportunity to have some fun coloring.

I had so much fun coloring this image.  The stamp is called "Season's Greenings:  Wreath Digital Stamp" and makes the perfect Christmas card.  I pulled out my copics and had a couple hours of fun coloring.

Challenge Your Stash

Today I am sharing a card I made for our Challenge Your Stash group in Splitcoaststampers.  Sharon is our hostess for the month of August.  Her challenge to us was to use water on our card, either an image, watercolor, spritz or word water.

For my card I used the Stampin Up "Waves of Inspiration" stamp set along with the matching dies.

The waves is cut out of silver paper. I colored the bird and logs with my copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by and a big thanks to Sharon for a great challenge this month.

Imky Paws Challenge

I just realized that Christmas will be here before we know it.  So I thought I had better get a start on my Christmas cards.  I went to Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge for some inspiration because I have so many of their stamps.  I have so many adorable Newton's Nook Christmas cards and I decided to use "Winston's Home For Christmas".  Unfortunately I do not see that Stamp in their store any more but their are so many adorable Christmas stamps in their store.

The challenge at Newton's Nook Inky Paws  this week is a sketch challenge.  I always love those because they give me such great ideas for my card.

For my card I used Winston's Home For Christmas Stamp and the paper is from Stampin Up called Snowflake Splendor which made a beautiful background to highlight the stamp.  I used Stampin Up Ribbon and a few enamel dots to highlight the card.
Thanks to Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge for some great inspiration this week.  One Christmas card down.  Yea!

Dueling Darlings

Since yesterday was the 15th and also a Monday that I post for Pammie's Inky Pinkies design team, I will post my card for the Dueling Darlings today.  Our hostesses this month were Lorraine and Barb.  They came up with a wonderful theme of "Crafting" for our August theme.  It is a theme we can all relate to.  even at an early age I have always loved to craft and try new things.  Once I started cardmaking I found that I love coloring and putting cards together.

I had so much fun with the kit that Lorraine sent me.  I knew immediately that I wanted to make a shaker card with the fun sentiment.  The items in used for my card are:
Gina K. Designs "Craft Notes" stamp Set
Designer Paper by Doodlebug Design
Ribbons by Celebrate It.
Pink Pearls - Queen and Company.

I colored the images with my copic markers and put them on the card.  I used the sequins that Lorraine sent inside the shaker part of the card.

Thanks to Barb and Lorraine for a great challenge this month.

For my card today I am using one of my favorite stamp sets from Lawn Fawn called Upon A Star.

To make my card I found this wonderful designer paper called Fairy Hugs Craft Papers.  I then stamped the stars at the top of the page with versa mark ink and then used white embossing powder.  For the images I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with my copic markers.  I used the matching dies to cut them out.  I then made a few hills with green paper and stamped the sentiment.

PIP Challenge #2231

I am super excited about our Challenge #2231 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies because she is being sponsored by Newton's Nook Designs (One of my favorite stamp companies).

Newton
I have always loved Newtons Nook Designs because when they first started they had 2 yellow kitties and of course my 15 year old yellow kitties remind me of theirs.  They are very entertaining even though they are 15 years old.
I thought about doing a kitty card but opted to one of my favorite stamp sets "Deer Friend".  I just love the sweetest of their deer images.  It also comes with a matching Die.

I colored the images with my copic markers and then used the matching die to cut them out.  I used a piece of cloud paper from Echo Park "New Day" line.  I then used at TE "Here Comes the Sun" stencil in Distress Oxides in Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber.  I then used a MFT Grassy Hills Die for the bottom of the card.  I pop dotted all the images on to the card.

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card.  I sure hope you join us over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies for the challenge this month.  Also a huge thank you to Newton's Nook Designs for sponsoring us then week.

Challenge Your Stash

Today's challenge for our "Challenge Your Stash" group is hosted by Maggie.  She came up with a fun challenge to use red, white and blue on our cards.

The stamp I used is a Stampabilities House Mouse called "Show Your Colors".  I thought this would be the perfect card for a red, white and blue challenge.  I pulled out my copics and colored this sweet image.  I found a piece of scrap patriotic paper for the background.

Thanks to Maggie for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2229

Time again for another challenge from PIP Challenges.  This week our sponsor is Polkadoodles.  They have some fantastic digital stamps.

For my card today I am using the stamp "Butterfly Tree Fairy"

This stamp came pre-coloured so all I had to do was print it out.  I used a die to cut it out and added a few gems to the picture.  The background paper is called "Petalshimmer" from Fairy Hugs Craft Papers.  The celebrate die was an old one I had from Papertrey Ink.

This sure made for a quick card when it is already coloured.  Be sure and check out Polkadoodles because they are having a sale right now and everyone loves a sale,

Dueling Darlings

The month of July is just flying by.  Can't believe today is the 15th already.  I am excited about today's challenge for our Dueling Darlings Group.  This month I was able to co-host with Carol and she came up with a terrific idea for our challenge.  We have all heard of Christmas in July so Carol and I thought we would put our own spin on it and celebrate Mrs. Claus.  Once we decided on our challenge, I looked through all my stamps and could not find one with Mrs. Claus on it.  So I started looking online and found this adorable stamp by Jaded Blossom Stamps.  They were kind enough to email me back and let me know that I could share this image with my group of 3 gals.  The stamp set is called Mrs. Claus Baking Company.

I printed off the image and colored it with my copic markers.  The papers are from Authentique called Rejoice.  I also added and red doily from Doodlebug, green ribbon from Offray and a few christmas sequins from my stash.

As an added extra to our challenge, we asked our group to add their favorite Christmas recipe to the blog post.  My favorite recipe came from a co-worker 40 years ago.  I make these cookies every year for all my nieces and nephews.  Below is the recipe for Super Sugar Cookies.

                                              SUPER SUGAR COOKIES
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1 Cup White sugar
1 Cup softened Butter
1 Cup Oil
2 eggs
1/2 tsp almond flavoring
4 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
1 tsp vanilla

Sift sugar into butter and oil.  Cream together.  Add eggs, vanilla and almond flavoring.  Mix well.  Add flour, salt, soda and cream of tartar, mix well.  Chill dough 1 hour.  Roll in small balls.  Dip in sugar.  Press down with glass jar dipped in sugar.  Bake at 375 degrees for 12 minutes.  Enjoy.

Be sure and check on the other team member cards.

For my card today I am using the stamp Fuchsias from their digital store.

Challenge Your Stash

I am in a group on Splitcoaststampers and each month we get a new challenge to create something from our stash with a theme the hostess has chosen.  Well this month was my month to come up with a challenge.  I love looking around outside at nature and seeing all the beautiful flowers and insects that they bring.  My favorite are butterflies so I challenged everyone to use a butterfly on their card.

I love pulling out stamp sets that I haven't used in a long time.  For this challenge I selected Stampin Up Watercolor Wings for my image and used Stampin Up Rich Razzelberry ink to stamp the butterfly. I then found papers (49 & Market Lilac Vintage Artistry) that blended well with my butterfly.  The enamel dots and washi tape are from the same line.  The sentiment is by Waffle Flower called Jars Sentiments.

I can't wait to see all the beautiful butterflies my crafty friends have come up with.  Such a great group to be in and it is always full to use things in my stash.

The design team was told them could use anything for the challenge this week so I went to one of my favorite My Favorite Things stamp set.  It is called Spread Your Wings.

I started my card my using a Tim Holtz Burlap stencil and used Distress Oxides in Salvaged Patina, Saltwater Taffy and Squeezed Lemonade.  I colored the butterflies with my copic markers and fussy cut them out and pop dotted them on to my card.  I used several colors of the Pretty Pink Posh gems to make the card pop.

Dueling Darlings

I am so excited to post my card today for our Dueling Darlings challenge.  Jeanette is our hostess this month and came up with a challenge of "Women of Strength".  Jeanette sent an envelope just full of goodies.   As a little side challenge, we are honoring Kelly who is our fearless leader of this group and a definite woman of strength.  I met Kelly through Splitcoaststampers and she is just one of those people you instantly love.  She makes you feel that you are special and encourages you in every way.  Kelly has had alot of struggles in the years that I have known her.  Through all her struggles her faith remains important to her and shows what a true Christian is.  She is the worlds best grandma, mother and friend to all that she meets.  I have no idea where she finds the time but she is always posting fun videos on her You Tube channel called Kelly Santi Designs.  She also maintains a blog called Sandcastle Stamper that is just amazing.

So my card today is honor of my dear friend Kelly who loves the color green, is a true friend and shares my passion of coffee.

I colored the images with the color green in mind with my copic markers.  For my card I used Hello Bluebird "Frosty Mornings" stamped image.  The sentiment on the outside of the card is Simon Says/Pink Fresh "Next Level Amazing".  The sentiment inside the card is from Great Impressions called "Only as strong".

You will see other items on my card that I used:
Designer Paper - Moxxie Coffee Addict, Paper Studio Cozy Little Christmas, Recollections Stocking Stuffer Paper Pad
Ribbons - Ribbon Boutique
Embellishments - Paper Studio Glitter Enamel Dots and Wooden Coffee Cup, Taylored Expressions Gold Drip Drops , button, corner photo tab and a few sequins.

PIP Challenge #2221

Today Challenge #2221 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies is being sponsored by Sheepski Designs.

I had so much fun with the image that I got to play with for this challenge.  I am such a fan of bees and coloring them which is a surprise to me since I got stung by a bumblebee at a young age in the face and still cringe when one gets too close to  me.  But I do understand the important of bees to our environment.

The image I used for my card is called "Bumble Bee Blossom".  I printed the image on my printer and colored it with my copic markers.  The die I used is by Hero Arts and is called Honeycomb Fancy Die.   I love this die and find that it is the perfect die to highlight your image.  The papers are from Graphic 45 "Let It Bee" collection.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
