I made this birthday card for my sister in law. The image is called Girlfriends from Art Impressions. Their stamps have such personality. I stamped the image, colored it with my copic markers and then cut it out. I used Stampin Up Decorative label punch for the saying.
The saying is "If you can't stand my driving, stay off the sidewalk". I just love a card with some attitude. Happy Birthday to Mary.
Since I used a punch on this card, I decided to enter the card in Art Impressions challenge.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to one and all. Here's hoping that everyone has a wonderful holiday spent with family and friends.
Today I am posting a picture of a card that my 19 year old nephew (Miles) took the time to make for me by himself. He made one for all his aunts and his grandmother. I thought it was so sweet that he took the time to figure out what to put in each card. What a kind soul this kid has. He is such a a loving child and I am very thankful to have him as a nephew.
All the money in the world could not buy a gift like this.

Hot Pads
One of my co-workers brought me this hot pad to work and wanted to know if I could make her some more. Her aunt had made some for her 30 years ago as a wedding gift. People were very frugal back then and we decided that the insulation was long john scraps.
To make a hot pad now, you need something called Insul-Bright a Warm and Natural Batting. As you can see it looks very insulated.
This is my version of hotpads for my friend. She is a real dog lover so this is what I made her. They are 8 1/2 inch square. The loop is 1 1/2 inches x 5 inches folded in half and folded towards center again to make a strip like bias tape. I made all three in one night. They were very easy to make.
Tomorrow I am posting a picture of a gable box I decorated for a friend to put goodies in.

Last of My Christmas Cards
Today I am posting pictures of my last Christmas Cards (unless I get more inspiration).
I bought the stocking punch from Stampin Up and thought it made a really cute card after I embossed the stocking. The sentiments is from Stampin Up Four the Holidays.
This card was made using the Stampin Up Comfort & Joy set. I embossed the background with Stampin Up Petals A Plenty. The Peach on Earth was from SU "Four the Holidays" using silver embossing powder. I also embossed the bird image and colored in with a Marina Mist Marker. All the designer paper was from "Frostwood Lodge" from SU. I also used Cherry Cobbler and Marina mist cardstock.
This card was made using "Christmas Lodge" stamp set from Stampin Up and more of the Frostwood Lodge designer paper from SU. I also used the "Petals a Plenty" embossing folderfor the background. The cardstock colors were Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green from SU. The ink was also Cherry Cobbler.
And this last card I used some stocking embellishments that my secret sister sent me. I just love those stockings.
So I think this might be it on Christmas cards. I am thinking Valentine's Day already.
I hope everyone has a great week.

Sketch Saturday - Week #185
I received this image in the mail for a Monthly Image Swap and decided to use Sketch Saturday Week #185. The name of the image is Nellie Snellen "Hokey Pokey" Fairy. I used my copics to color her in. It doesn't show up very well but I also got to use my liquid pearls. It shows up so much better on the card. I used stickles for the fluffy part of her coat and trim. I also used gel pens to highlight the stars and snowflakes.
I used this sparkling yarn to circle the image and to make the image pop. Be sure and check out the other creative people who made cards with this image on SCS. There are some very creative people in this group.
Now I have to decide what special person is going to get this card.

Yet More Christmas Cards
I love the blues in this Christmas card. What a sweet tilda card this was. The lamp was a Tim Holtz die cut that came with the holly also.
I think I am seeing why I am having wrist issues with all this cutting with my Big Shot. Wonder if one of those Vagabond machines will be in my Christmas stocking.
I made this card using the stocking punch from Stampin Up. It always amazes me what you can do with their punches besides their intended use.
Enjoy these Christmas cards. Who knows, maybe I will have more to post later this week.

More Christmas Cards
I have had so much fun this making Christmas Cards. I sure wish I had about 20 more and who knows what the next couple of weeks will bring.
This card was made with the Spellbinders Heirloom ornament die and the stamp set was Inkadinkado O Holy Night.
One of my favorite Christmas decorations are cardinals so I loved coloring this image with my copics. Cardinals are such a beautiful bird.
I will have several more Christmas cards to post tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Vannessa
I made this card for my friend Vannessa for her birthday. Vannessa have only known each other a little over a year but she is one of those people who you instantly love. She is so creative and is good at everything she does from photography to gardening and both of our loves, paper crafting. She is the best in using her photographs in her cards.
The stamp set I used was a Pure Innocence stamp set. It was the perfect card for Vannessa because I love my chocolates and to compare them to a friend is the highest compliment. You can't tell in the picture but I stamped on the background print and cut it out for her dress. I also stamped the chocolates on a separate piece of cardstock and cut it out and added dimensionals.
So Happy Birthday Vannessa !!!

Shopping Our Stash Weekly Challenge
Today's challenge card fit in perfectly with what I am trying to get better at. I have wanted to try digital stamps for a long time and I came across Paper Fashions, Etc. and have loved their images. This image that I used for this card is from their Wrapped in Love Holiday Set.
There are so great digital stamps at Paper Fashions, Etc. Be sure and check them out.
So the challenge for Shopping Our Stash #28 was to use a Digital image and/or sentiment. So I decided to give it a try. I am quickly deciding that digital is the way to go because I don't have a storage issue that way.
On this card I used copic markers and covered my tree with Icicle Stickles. Another Christmas card completed for me. Yea!

Emily & Einstein Card
If you go to Color Me Creative Classroom, you will see that they have a book club which is lots of fun and if you are a reader, come join us. The book we read this month was Emily and Einstein by Linda Francis Lee. What a terrific book it was. Of course I love any book with animals involved. What a great read. I decided to join the challenge and make a card with this book in mind. This is what I imagined Emily & Einstein to look like.

Kitty Christmas Card
Today's Christmas card was another stamp from my secret sister in SCS from Lili of the Valley Ltd. I decided to make this card for the Card Patterns: Sketch 143. I thought this sketch was great for my image.
And this is why this was the perfect stamp for me and why I always color my kitties in yellow orange. These are my 2 helpers (if that is the word you want to use). I put up my Christmas decorations today with alot of help. There is something to be said for the curious cat. I am lucky enough to have 2 of them.

Challenge Card
My secret sister on SCS sent me this darling Magnolia stamp called "Something for you Tilda". I just loved coloring her in with my copics. I used stickles for the trim around her dress and hat. She also sent me the wonderful white snowflake. I just went to my stash of goodies she sent me and came up with this adorable card. I love that I am getting my Christmas cards done along with completely a few challenges. The challenges I am entering for this card are

The Corrosive Challenge #137 - Give Thanks
I decided to make this card for The Corrosive Challenge #137 because I am always needing Thank You cards. I love this stamp - not sure of the name but I bought it at Michaels on a wood block. After coloring the butterflies, I decided they needed to show up a little more so I covered them with stickles and used glossy accents on the front of the clocks to make them look like glass. So I have added this to my stash to use. Thanks to the Corrosive Challenge Blog team for coming up with a great idea.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge #94
This weeks challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments is Winter Wonderland. I decided to use a card that we made last week using one of my favorite stamps from Stampin Up. I stamped the image twice and then cut out the sled. We made this card at our stamp camp. A red glitter pin was used to go around the door way.

Friday Mashup Challenge
I love these Friday Mashup Challenges because they always have such great ideas. The challenge was to use the sketch above, use a rosette or do both. I decided to try both in my card.
I used a cuttlebug leaf embossing folder and designer papers I received from my secret sister . The center of my rosette was actually at the top of a large paperclip. I took it off and it made a great center for my card. Another great challenge card done.

Christmas Card
I am still working on Christmas Cards. I know I really need to get busy if I am going to have all mine made and ready to go in the mail. Today I picked a digital image from Paper Fashions, Etc. which is from their Holiday Wrapped in Love set. I thought this snowman was just so adorable. I got my copics out and started to color. I still love the traditional red and green Christmas colors so I used some designed paper from Papertrey Ink.
I decided to enter this card in Digital Tuesday Challenge and Sketch Saturday. This is my first attempt at a digital stamp and I know it will not be the last because it was so much fun. Paper Fashions, Etc. have so many cute digital stamps. Be sure and check them out.

Friday Mashup Challenge #32
The challenge at Friday Mashup is definitely right down my alley. You were to make it girly and use your favorite techniques. Well I love flowers, doilies, flourishes and butterflies so you can't get much more girly than this card. I made it for a friend whose birthday we will be celebrating this week.
I used 2 of my favorite techniques on this card. I have decided one of my new favorite tools is the Tim Holtz ink blender tool. I used it to ink up the white doily on this card. The other technique I love it diecutting. Let's see - on this card I used a flourish diecut from MFT, Mat die cut from PTI, Flower die cut from PTI, Leaves from Stampin up and to top it off I used a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. I don't think I could make a card without using a die cut of some sort.
Hope everyone has a great week and thanks to Friday Mashup for a great challenge.

The Friday Mashup #31 Gratitude is the Best Attitude
Over at The Friday Mashup the are having a challenge to use Heat Embossing and a Gratitude Card. I decided to use Garden Silhouettes Stamp Set from Stampin Up and Clear Embossing. I then sponged over with Stampin Up Pool Party and Island Indigo. I added a couple small strips of Island Indigo Card Stock and 3 Pearls to make the embossing stand out. The Sentiments is from Stampin Up called "Warmest Regards". A simple card but I love the look.
Thanks to The Friday Mashup for offering a nice challenge.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #118
Over at Tuesday Morning Sketches they have a sketch challenge which I thought would fit in perfect with the card I was trying to come up with for a SCS swap. I used the Papertrey Ink Vintage Picnic stamp set for the image and they have a matching die I used to cut out the basket. The sentiment is from PTI Birthday Basics. I used my copics to color in the tulips and I even used them to color in my Rhinestone. The cardstock is PTI's Autumn Rose and the Designer paper is Springtime Vintage. Now I only have 5 more to make just like this one for the swap.

Doraline by Motivet
I purchased this stamp at the CKC Convention I went to a couple of weeks ago and thought I would color her up with my copics and get another Christmas card completed. I had received a felt die flower cut out from my secret sister along with some rhinestone bling and thought they would add a little something to the card. The designer paper is Christmas Lodge from Stampin Up.
Isn't she adorable. I had fun with this card.

Friday Mashup Challenge #30
I have had this darling Penny Johnson Vintage stamp in my stash for a while that I received from my SCS Secret Sister and thought I wanted to give it a try. I went to my stash of designer papers and found Cottage Wall from Stampin Up that I had pieces of. So this is my card for the Friday Mashup using Recycle, Renew and Reuse. I just love these sketch challenges.

Say Goodbye to Halloween
Today I am posting the last of my halloween cards. I made this one with the Haunted Forest stamp from Stampin Up. With a little shading and a full moon, this card turned out pretty darn cute.
I received this card in the mail from my secret sister in DSS SCS. I have always liked the cobweb embossing. Maybe next year I will have to buy it.
This cute card came from my friend Cass. Don't you just love the Stampin Up script she used for the Happy Halloween. And of course I love the cat. I love all cats whether they are real or on paper.
This card came from my friend Vannessa who is quite the photographer. I just love the way she used a photograph to make this card. I wonder if all these goodies were on her desk????
These 2 cards were ones that I made at the CKC Convention in the evening when us girls got together with different kits. Cass and Nora came up with these 2. Aren't they just adorable.
Okay that is it for Halloween. Now I am going to start my Thanksgiving cards.
Happy news for me today. I won over at Prickley Pear with my cardinal Christmas card. Be sure and check their matching stamps and dies. It is my new favorite.

Happy Halloween
Thought I would post some wonderful halloween projects. I can't take credit for these wonderful projects but I wanted everyone to see these. The pumpkin above was one of the projects we did in the evening when I was at CKC. My friends Vannessa brought this project.
My friends Vannessa and Cass did this can and cute bag for me for halloween. Aren't they just adorable? Hopefully later today I will have more halloween cards.
My camera died and I am charging up the battery.
