Challenge Your Stash Group

Well today's card is from another group on Splitcoast Stampers.  Our challenge for this group is to each month have a different challenger and they will come  up with a challenge for the group.  The challenge for this month was a color challenge.  We were to used Black, White and Silver.  Since I am still in the Christmas mode and started my goal of 100 Christmas cards for 2017, this is my card.
I took a piece of black cardstock and stamped the image (Snow Day Background by Taylored Expressions) with versa mark and embossed with silver embossing powder.  I then cut out a few snowflakes from Yvonne Creations called Holly Jolly Snowflake and Star.  I loved this challenge.

I still struggle with my picture taking and this picture below shows one of my issues.
Someone wanted in the picture.  Enjoy the card.

PIP Challenge #1704

I can't believe there are only 4 days of January left.  I am happy because that means spring is right around the corner.  I decided to work on a few valentine cards and went to Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges for some inspiration.  I always like going to the company that is sponsoring the current challenge and purchasing a couple digitals for the challenge.  The company sponsoring Challenge #1704 is All Dressed Up.  You can purchase some of their images here at etsy.
The image I used is called Happy Valentines.  I colored the image with my copic markers and then fussy cut the image out.  I decided to give it a little outline with a scalloped hear die.  The embossed hearts are a retired Stampin Up heart border that a friend just gave me.  I have admired those hearts for a long time.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Be sure and check out Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges and I also decided to enter this card in the current All Dressed Up Challenge.

PIP Challenge 1703

Now that I have more time on my hands, I am finding some adorable digital stamps online.  Have you ever seen Bugaboo Stamps?  They are simply adorable and oh so many to pick from.  A friend of mine is on the design team for Pammie's Inky Pinkies and I decided to give the challenge a try.

For my card today I used a digital from Bugaboo Stamps called Bird Greetings.  This was a real bargain because the sentiment came with it.

I colored the image with my copic markers and fussy cut around the edges.  I just love this image.  I have someone in mind for this card who will love this crazy owl.

Mystery Image #38

Vickie was up this month and chose this adorable Retired Stampin Up image called "And Everything Nice".  This image was so fun to work with.  The image was stamped on Craters Companion Ultra Smooth White 100 lb cardstock with Tuxedo Black Ink.
I colored the image with my copic markers and picked some background papers to bring out the colors in the card.  I would just love to have this adorable raincoat with red pockets and trim.  I sent Vickie 4 cards and will get 3 cards back from other members.  Can't wait to see what they come up with.

Thanks to Vickie for a great challenge.

Gerda Steiner Designs Challenge

I have come across a new stamp designer (well to me anyway) called Gerda Steiner Designs.  I have quickly became of fan of this stamp company.  They have such adorable stamps.  They have digital and rubber stamps.  I love digital stamps because you can make them any size you want.

They have a monthly challenge where if you participate, they will send you the stamp of the month each month to play with.  This month the stamp is "Hedgehog Smooches".  I purchased it this month and will get a free digital stamp in February.
I made my first valentine card using this digital stamp.  I used my copic markers to color the hedgehogs and did a little highlighting with a white pen.  The paper kit is called Photoplay Love Kit and that is where all my papers and sentiment came from. I just love these hedgehogs.  So adorable.

Be sure and check out some of the other amazing cards made with this stamp set on Gerda Steiner Designs Challenge Blog.

I can't wait to see what they come up with next month.

Tweet Tweet

Since Two Paper Divas is no longer open I find myself wondering what to challenge myself with.  Of course I went to Splitcoast Stampers and have met a wonderful group of friends.  I am in a Mystery Image Swap and each month a person picks the image.  Imke was the hostess this month.  You should check out her blog because she is very talented.

I had to go out of my comfort zone to make these cards and that seems to be my favorite cards.  The image is from Avery Elle "Tweet Tweet".  I colored up the images with my copic markers.

I decided to do a little sponging with my distress markers for the background of this card.

I am still working on my photography.  My pictures seem a little blurry.  Going to have to move from my colorful background.

Check back because who knows what my next project will be.

Crafters of Faith

I can't believe it is already January 8.  I was going to do better with posting on my blog this year but I don't seem to be getting a very good start.

I recently joined a group of gals on Splitcoast Stampers led by my friend Kelly  who has always been an inspiration to me. We call this group Crafters of Faith with a mission to create a group for faith based friends to chat and craft together with supplies we have already on hand - adding in the twist of using scripture!

I decided to take the month of January to come up with a theme.   Every day I am thankful for my friends who share my passion of cardmaking and scrapbooking so I chose Proverbs 27:9 - "A sweet friendship refreshed the soul".  I have met some wonderful people through Splitcoast Stampers and can't wait to see what this group comes up with.
For my card I went with the Stamp Set Flower Patch.  I stamped the green first with Olive Green.  I then stamped the flowers out using Blushing Bride, Strawberry Slush, Pool Party and Lost Lagoon.  I used the matching die set "Flower Fair Framelets Dies" to get the flowers out.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to post more in the future.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
