Dueling Darlings

For today's post, I am showing you the card I made for our Dueling Darlings Challenge.  Terry selected an adorable image to use.   I enjoyed making this card.  Such a fun image.  This is what I used to make the card.
  • Image - SU! "Love Is Kindness"
  • DP - The Paper Studio
  • Cardstock - Core'dinations "Sea Foam", "Merry" and "Jet Stream"
  • Enamel Dots - Want 2 Scrap
  • Trim - Michaels
  • Flowers - Spare Parts

Be sure and check out what some of my team did with the image.

Part of the challenge was to list what we would plant in our garden.  I don't have a garden but always did growing up as a kid.  I think my favorite was the strawberries and asparagus.  But nothing beats having anything fresh from the gardens.  The Farmers Markets are starting in our area and I can't wait to get some of the fresh produce.

The die cuts you used are just perfect for the background to this card. You placed the flowers just right too. Great card!

Tracie, your card is beautiful! I love the way you colored the image - those tulips are gorgeous! And what a nice overall design, too.

I also love strawberries and asparagus... but alas, my DH grows neither of these in his garden.

Tracie, this is just the absolute sweetest! What a beautiful layout to your lovely coloring of the tulips! How wonderful you are able to garden and have a bushel of strawberries and asparagus - yum!

Tracie. what a pretty card. I love the colors and the layout. I love how you fussy cut the image and have a part of it hanging over the die cut. You did a wonderful job coloring your image and the whole card is beautiful. Asapargus and strawberries from your garden....yummmm...I bet you kinda miss it being so close. Great job with your kit....so glad we are duelers together.

Tracie, your card is just beautiful! Love the bright red tulips and how they just seem to jump off the page. The papers and embellishments along with a perfect designed layout really showcase that delightful image and create a truly lovely card! Great job!!

Tracie - this card is adorable!

I too am not much of a gardener. Don't have one either - although your memories of your garden growing up reminded me of the days my sister and I would pick what seemed like endless green beans in our back yard.....Yum!
