Pretty Pink Posh Watercolor Blog Hop

I am one of those people who love to try new things in the crafting world.  One of my new favorites is the zig clear brush watercolor pens.  The look they produce is fantastic and they are so easy to use.

So went I noticed that Pretty Pink Posh was doing a watercolor blog hop I decided to join in.  I think watercolor is all the rage right now and I am loving it.
I thought it is never too early to start on my Christmas cards so I found this adorable holly stamp that I had bought at a recent garage sale.  There was no name on it so I'm not sure who makes it but I sure do like it.  I used the yellow and green on the leaves and the red zig marker on the berries.  I first stamped the image with black versafine ink and then embossed it with clear embossing powder.  It gives it a raised look and easy to color after that.  I also took a little gray and shaded the white between the leaves.

I also decided to enter this in Craftyhazelnut's Christmas challenge.

One of these days I want to sit down and do a comparision of some of my favorite techniques.
