Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

My card today was made from the challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches.  They always have the cutest sketches.  I made this card for a friend who is leaving our hospital and moving on to another job.  I wish her the very best.  She is the sweetest person you will ever meet.  So good luck Julie and thanks to Tuesday Morning Sketches for providing such a great sketch.  The stamp set is one of my favorites from Stampin Up called Faith in Nature.  The sentiment was from Clear Design by Hero Arts called Spring Borders.

I also made this cute notepad holder for Julie.  I just took a 5 x 7 acrylic frame and glued on a notepad I had bought at Walmart.  Cute and easy gift.

Happy Birthday JoAnn

It has been several days since I have had the time to post.  Been a busy weekend visiting with family and friends.  Always fun.  Today I am posting a picture of a birthday card that I made for the best niece one could ever have.  She is the most generous, caring person you will ever meet.  I love her to pieces and decided to use the image "Dessert Piled High" from Great Impressions.  I colored the image with my copic markers and added some stickles and gems.  To the card I added a doily and ribbon.  The designer paper is "Hello Summer" by Echo Park Paper Company.

If you would like to see the other cards made with this image, you can see them HERE.  There are really some creative people in this group.  I love seeing how everyone has just a little different take when they color the image and make it in to a card.

I hope everyone has a great week.  I hope to do a little better about posting but we shall see what the week brings.

Papertrey Ink Swap Cards

Today's post are some cards I made for a swap on SCS.  It was using Papertrey Ink stamps.  The first one was just to make a standard size card.  I got the cute pocket die and stamp set the last time I ordered from Papertrey Ink and find that I am using it alot.

The next card was to be "Thinking of You" theme.  I got the square die and inset stamp at the same time I bought the back pocket die.  Thought it made a cute little card.

The next challenge was to make a Happy Birthday tag.  I used one of the PTI doily dies and one of the floral fusion dies & stamps.
And my last challenge was Pretty in Pink.  Just love this card.  I used the butterfly die from PTI.  The Sentiment came from the Butterfly set also.  I must say that pink has to be one of my favorite colors.

So this is my post for today.  Now I need to get busy and make a few birthday cards as I have a couple birthdays coming up.  Have a great week.

Happy Mother's Day to all you wonderful mothers.  This is the day to honor all of you that make a difference.  Not only do I have a great mother but I also want to give a shout out to all the other great mothers I know from my sisters, nieces, and all friends that have touched my life.  I think you all are great.

I made this card for my mom.  I found some wonderful designer paper at Archivers that I just love.  The colors are just gorgeous.  The paper is by Lost and Found, My Mind's Eye and is called Blush.  Another favorite paper of mine.  I think I am collecting 6 x 6 pads like I have fabric.

Happy Mother's Day to all.

Tuesday Morning Sketches Challenge

Today I decided to make a birthday card for my niece, Lisa.  She is so sweet and I wanted to make her a beautiful card to celebrate her birthday.  I went to Tuesday Morning Sketches for inspiration in making this card.  The flower is a Papertrey Ink stamp and the designer paper is from my favorite set "Miss Caroline" by My Mind's Eye.  Part of the challenge was to use a die so I chose several of my favorite spellbinder dies for this card.

So Happy Birthday Lisa.  I hope you have a great one.

Boy has it been a while since I have posted on my blog.  I went on a fun little trip with my sister and a friend and I am still trying to get back in the groove.  My creative mojo left me for a while but it has to come back because I have graduation cards, mother's day cards, birthday cards to make.  This is going to be a busy week for me.

Today I am posting a little gift that I made for all the special nurses that I work with.  I truly admire all the nurses that I work with and have come to know.  I have worked with nurses for 25 years and know that they are some of the hardest working people that you will ever find.  I found this pattern for a Two Pocket Treat Holder over at Angie Juda's Blog.  It worked perfect for this project.  The digital image is called "Nurse Betty" from Pink Cat Studio.  I downloaded the image and colored it with my copic markers.  I did Happy Nurses Day on my computer and cut out the sentiment.  On the back I used a heart die and the saying "Nurses are the Heart of Healthcare" that I typed on my computer.  I filled each package with Ghirardelli Chocolate squares in the front and a Good Earth Sweet & Spicy Tea which is my favorite tea of all times.

So this is my project for today and I want to wish all the nurses I know a very Happy Nurses Week and hope you enjoy your special week.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
