PIP Challenge #2417

Well I'm not sure where the month of April went but it looks like we are bringing it to an end.  I am loving all the flowers in bloom.  We planted a lilac bush this week and it brings such great memories of my childhood.  That scent is just tops in my book.

Our challenge this week for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges is going to be a beach theme.

What a fun theme.  I pulled out some of my beach cards and came up with this card.

For my card I started by embossing a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of blue cardstock with a bubble folder I had.  I then cut out a white circle and sponged SU crumb cake ink to the bottom.  The palm trees and houses are from SU Waterfront Stamp set.  The birds are from SU High Tide.  The chair is a SU die from Seasonal Layers.

What a fun theme.  I hope to see alot of beach theme cards at PIP Challenges.  The winner will win a $10 gift certficate from Scrapbook.com.

Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for our group "Creating!  Challenge Your Stash" over at Splitcoaststampers.  Every month we have a hostess who comes up with a theme where we can use some of our crafting stash.  I always look forward to this challenge because it gives me a chance to go through my stash.

Our challenge this month comes from Sharon and she challenged us to use ignored Designer Paper for one or more cards.  This was an easy challenge for me because I have so many sheets of ignored designer paper.

I found some colorful paper by Whimsy Stamps called Birthday Celebration.  I cut several of the sheets up in to 1/2" and 3/8" strips and just started laying them on the 4 x 5 1/4" sheet of white cardstock I had.  I then used the Stampin Up balloon punch to add a few balloons .  The sentiment is from It's Your Day from Taylored Expressions.  I used the matching day to cut out the sentiment.  I also added some black twine coming down from each balloon and tied a bow at the bottom bringing them all together.

Thanks to Sharon for a great challenge this month.

Creative Crew

Today is one day late for my post for our creative crew group.  I had a design team post I had to make for yesterday so I thought I would post my card today.

Terry was our hostess this month and she selected our theme for April will be "It's Party Time".  What a great theme.

The image we are using is Festive Balloons by Simon Says Stamps.  I thought this was a very fun image to work with.  I colored up 2 images that were cut out using the matching die.  For the front of the card I put the image on just a piece of the front folded card.  Then when you open it, you will see another image that I put on the inside using pop dots.  The designer paper is Stampin Up Pattern Party.  I found the gems in my stash and thought I would add them.

What a fun card.  Will make the perfect birthday card.  Be sure and check out and see what the rest of the team did.

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2415

Time again for Challenge #2415 by Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  This week is sponsored by Pam at PIP Challenges.

The winner of this weeks challenge will receive a $10 gift certificate to My Favorite Things.  Who wouldn't love this gift certificate.  They have so many cute stamp sets at My Favorite Things.  I thought I would pull out a MFT stamp that I had in my stash for the challenge this week.
The stamp set is called "Hooray Kind of Day".  I could not find in their store but they have several that are similar with the cute little critters.  I started with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of white cardstock and sponged on Distress Oxide Inks (Broken China & Peeled Paint).  I then sprayed with a mist of water and patted it with a paper towel.  I then cut out the piece using an Elizabeth Craft Designs Dotted Scallop Rectangle Die.  The Banner is called "Simple Banner" by Poppy Stamps.  I colored the images with copic markers and used the matching dies to cut out the images.  I then pop dotted them on to the card.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see your cards in the challenge this week.

PIP Challenge #2413

I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter.  The weather here was just gorgeous.  Was able to spend time with my family at my nieces house who is always the ultimate hostess.

Today for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2413 we are being sponsored by Pattie's Creations.  Her digital images are so fun.  It was really hard for me to decide which image to use.

So for my card I chose to use "Hummingbird Floral Wreath" digital stamp.  I love hummingbirds and I always enjoy seeing them.  Their colors are just amazing.  When I colored my image I really tried to make my hummingbird colorful.

I downloaded the image and colored with my copic markers.  I then used a Spellbinder Label die to cut it out.  The background paper is Ink Drops - Candy by Craft Consortium.  I thought the background colors made the colors in the hummingbird pop.

Be sure and check out some of the other fun digital images at Pattiescreations store on Etsy.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
