Challenge Your Stash

Today I have a card I made for our "Challenge Your Stash" group on Splitcoaststampers.  It is always so much fun to see what the hostess comes up with.  I was lucky enough to be the hostess this month and I chose "Leaves" as my challenge.

I love playing with alcohol inks and developing a fun piece of paper.  I thought this made a beautiful background to my Lawn Fawn leaf die cuts.  I just used colors that reminded me of fall.  I am seeing alot more leaves falling in our area.  Not sure if it is because it is so dry or maybe cooler temperatures.  I just hope they don't all fall to the ground before we can see some beautiful trees.

PIP Challenge #2039

This week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies we have another challenge.  There is no sponsor this week but Pam is generously offering a $10 gift card to Unity Stamp Company.  Who wouldn't love to win that.  They have so many neat stamp sets there.  I love her digitals also which is what I used for my card today.

For my card I used the digital image "You Owe Yourself".  I printed off the image and then cut it out with my Brother Scan n cut.  I love that machine.  It is so great to use on digital images where you do not have a matching die.  I would like to say that I never buy dies but unfortunately that is not true.

I colored the image with my copic markers and added a few enamel dots.

I hope to see your entries over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies

The Project Bin

Today my card is all about friendship.  I have made many friends throughout the years and I am thankful for each and every friend I have made.

For my card I used the stamp set "#bff" from The Project Bin.  I just love the sentiments on this stamp set.  It is the perfect set to have if you send alot of cards to your friends.

This card is actually called a Double Dutch Fold card.  Instructions on how to make this card can be found at https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/doubledutchfold/.

Thanks to all my friends for all the years of friendship.

Monthly Image

I am in a group of wonderful ladies on Splitcoaststampers where we share images each month.  I love this group because I never know what is going to be our stamp of the month.  This is the card I made for this month.

Kathi was our hostess this month and she chose Autum Blessings by Wplus9Designs.  I love this image because I love any excuse to pull out my copic markers and have a fun time coloring.  I especially love coloring the different colors in the fall leaves.

The Bountiful die and Blessing stamp are from a Papertrey Ink set.

Thanks Kathi for such a great challenge this month.

Dueling Darlings

The 15th of the month kind of snuck up on me.  Time is going by so fast this month.  Today is reveal day for our Dueling Darlings challenge.  Beth was one of our hostesses this month and she chose a theme as "A Roaring Good Time" along with Heather.

I thought this little guy was just adorable.  The image is "The 20's Fellas" from CC Designs.  The paper is from Bo Bunny and Ella & Viv.  The embellishments I used were twine (Michaels and Best Creation Inc) and Medley sequins.

Thanks to Heather and Beth for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2037

I made a fun card today for PIP Challenge #2037 in honor of my 2 tabby kitties.  This week is being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I used the stamp set "What's on the table?" for my card.

I colored the images with my copic markers.  It is so fun to be able to size the elements for the card.  I decided to use the floral digital stamp as a picture on the wall.  So fun and what a fun birthday party this would be with both cookies and cupcakes.

Be sure and check out Gerda Steiner Designs because they have some amazing digital stamps.

The Project Bin

Today my card for The Project Bin showcases the new Christmas stamp called Mid Century Christmas and the matching die

I started this card my taking a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of white card stock and using the tree die, I cut out the center of the card.  I then used a falling snow embossing folder on that white piece of card stock.  I then stamped the green tree in the window using 2 colors of green ink.  The tree stand at the bottom of the tree was stamped separately so only the bottom part of the stand showed.  The sentiment wad stamped at the lower right of the card.  I die cut the star and added it to the outer layer.  I used red stickles for the ornaments on the tree.

Such a fun card to make since making the window gives it dimension.  It would of made a great shaker card.  Oh well next time.

Crafters of Faith

Happy Labor Day.  It is a warm one here in Kansas but looking further in the week we have nice cooling weather in our future.

My card today is for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess this month is Dawn and she chose John 15:1-8 as her scripture for this month.  "As it is the fall and a time of harvest, consider the fruits you have grown this year through your thoughts, words and actions".  Dawn challenged us to show case fruit on our cards.

For my card I used the applies as my fruit.  I just love apples in the fall time.  Whether it be apple pie, caramel apples, apple cider, I love it all.  These images are from Your Next Stamp "Autumn Harvest" stamp set.  I stamped the images off and colored them with my copic markers.  The background was done using distress oxides (Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed lemonade) and water.

Thanks for much for this great challenge Dawn.  Always fun.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
