Happy Birthday Denise

We the Design Team of The Project Bin stamps are celebrating a truly wonderful person, Denise!  She is the owner and creative genius behind this amazing stamp line.  I hope you have checked out all the fantastic stamps that she carries in her store.  You will see stamps that are uplifting and just fun to use.    Denise has always been so kind to us on the design team for The Project Bin.  She is always positive and truly blesses us with her kindness.

Denise, thank you for all you do and for who you are.

For my birthday card to Denise I first decided to create a scene with flowers and trees using the stamp set "Merriest Christmas".  Can you tell I am ready for spring?  There is a matching die to cut out the trees so I stamped several and used the die to cut them out.
I then wanted to stamp a Happy Birthday sentiment to Denise and I love the stamp set "Birthday Girl" so I decided this would be perfect for my card.  Although it doesn't show up very well, I stamped with black ink and then versamark ink and used a holographic embossing powder to make the sentiment sparkle.
You will notice that I used the heart from the stamp set on the back of the envelope and the small stamp that says Happy mail inside of it.  I colored the heart with my copic markers.

I have started stamping the back of my cards using this adorable  "Hand Made" stamp set.  It is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

We are also having a challenge today with our Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoaststampers which our challenge was to use trees.  So I covered this challenge with all my treees.

So happy birthday Denise.  Thanks for all the encouragement and friendliness throughout the years.  We from the Design Team appreciate everything you do.

You are probably coming from Lynn's blog for this blog hop.  It is so fun to see all these great cards.  Now hop on over to Barbs blog and see what she has in store for you.  If you would like  to start at the beginning of our blog hop, start with Kelly at Sandcastle Stamper who is our organizer for this great blog hop.

The Project Bin

I wanted to post one more card I made for The Project Bin.  I am having fun with these slimline cards.  At first I wasn't sure about them but now I enjoy making them.

For my card I used 2 different stamp sets from The Project Bin.  I started my card by using the Picket Fence Die Cutting Slimline system and cut out 3 circles.  I then stamped the snowflake image from the North Pole Stamp Set by The Project Bin with navy ink and then stamped again with Versamark ink and used a glitter embossing powder.

I then stamped the sentiment in the center of the card using the same stamp set as the snowflakes.  I then decided the card needed a little snowman so I stamped off the snowman from the stamp set Merriest Christmas and colored him with my copic markers.  I cut him out using the matching die provided in the stamp set.

This was such a fun card to make for my last card this year for The Project Bin.

PIP Challenge #2049

Today I have a card I made for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2049.  Our sponsor this week is Beccy's Place.

I just love her images.  They are just so cute and fun to work with.  For my card today I am using the image Cinnamon Mittens from the Home for the Holiday digital set.
I printed off this image and then colored with my copic markers.  I also cut the image out with my Brother Scan n cut.  The sentiment is also from the same set.

So be sure and check out Beccy's Place and I hope to see your creations over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Beccy also has a blog that you need to check out because she has some great ideas on using the digital images.  You can see it HERE.

Beccy is also running a December Challenge on her blog so I decided to enter this card in that challenge.  The Challenge is to use a Christmas image along with some bling which you will see that I decided to use enamel dots.

I also wanted to use this card as my December Crafters of Faith group from Splitcoaststampers.  Jeanette was our hostess this month and she chose the scripture:  Matthew 2:10 When they (The Wise Men) saw the star, they were overjoyed beyond measure.  Jeanette challenged us to use a star or stars on our creation.

Favorites from The Project Bin

Today I promised you a few of my favorite cards from The Project Bin

I know, we are in Christmas mode but I loved coloring this beautiful image.  This was from the "Spring Zen" stamp set.

This was a beautiful valentine card I made using "In My Heart" stamp set.

For every dog lover these cuties were from the stamp set "Kinda Pawsome".

One thing The Project Bin is known for is their wonderful sentiments.  I made this card using the sentiment from "#bff"

And of course I had to show one of my Christmas cards using the stamp and die set "Merriest Christmas".

I also love using the "Hand Made" stamp set on the back of my cards.  Sorry but I don't usually take pictures of the back of my cards but this is the stamp set below.

So head on over to The Project Bin and take advantage of the 50% off sale through Monday.  Just enter the code WOOHOO when checking out.

Challenge Your Stash

I am always excited when I get to go to my stash and use something that I haven't used in a while.  Pansy is our hostess this month for our Challenge Your Stash Group in Splitcoaststampers.  Pansy decided our them would be leaves and leaving.  She challenged us with implied or direct action on leaves leaving or a scenic sort of leaves and something leaving.

So for my card I am using a stamp from Great Impressions.  I couldn't find a name on the stamp anywhere just a number.  The sentiment is from Dare2BeArtzy.  I loved the falling leaves and to me this is a sign of fall leaving us.

Thanks Pansy for a great challenge this month.

Also remember that The Project Bin is having their 50% off sale through Monday.

.

Check back tomorrow and I may list a few of my favorite stamp sets from The Project Bin and cards I have made using them.

PIP Challenge #2047

Time again for another card for Pammies Inky Pinkies.  This week we are lucky enough to be sponsored by Sheep Ski Designs. The digital images they have are just adorable.  I am loving their Christmas images right now.  For my card today I decided to use the image "Christmas Bells".

I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a MFT die to cut the image out.  This was such a fun image to color.  I hope you check out Sheep Ski Designs. I know that I have several of their digital images on my list to purchase.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

The Project Bin

November sure seems to be going by fast.  We are enjoying some wonderful fall weather this week and I am loving it.  Although my card for today reminds me of winter that will soon be here.  I am not a fan of snow but love snowmen images because they always look happy.  They just put a smile on your face.

I decided to go with a blue theme on my card for my project for The Project Bin this week.  I started with the blue snowflake paper and then added a white snowflake I had cut out using a Tim Holtz die.  The Let it Snow image is from "North Pole" by The Project Bin.  I stamped it with Versamark and then used white embossing powder. I then used a circle die to cut it out.

I  colored the sweet little snowman with my copic markers and then used the matching die from "Merriest Christmas" by The Project Bin.

Dueling Darlings

Shelly and Carol were our hostesses this month and they decided the theme would be "Red Noses".  This meant I received a wonderful bag of goodies from Shelly.  I always think I have to use each piece in my kit which is why my card is loaded with goodies.

The goodies in my bag that I had to play with were:

Images/Sentiments:  CC Designs Three Reindeers stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Recollections 110# Cardstock.

Designer Paper:  Recollections Buffalo Check and Echo Park Santa Paper.

Embellishments:  Recollections Hat and bow and ribbon from Offray.

I had so much fun coloring up these adorable reindeer.  Thanks Shelly and Carol for the great challenge this month.

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I was challenged by Vickie Y to use this adorable image in a group I am in with Splitcoaststampers.  I decided it would be perfect for the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop.  I always love a coffee image.

The image is "Changito Coffee".  Both the sentiment and image are from Stampendous.  I colored him with copic markers and then fussy cut him out.  I decided to use a coffee cup die (From Honey Bee Stamps) for the background.  The flower and leaves are from MFT.

Definitely some days are a 2 cup day.  I think today will be one of those because my cat got me up way too early.

PIP Challenge #2045

Wow last week sure went by fast.  I have been busy creating and loving time spent in my craft room.  This week for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2045, it is sponsored by Bugaboo Digital Stamps.  I am such a huge fan of their digital stamps and always have so much fun coloring up their images.

For my card today I used the image "Christmas Jar" to make my card.

I do believe these are my favorite colors to use when coloring with my copic markers.  I printed off the image on my printer and then just started coloring up the image.  I even put some glossy accents on the candy canes although it doesn't show up very well.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.

I have decided to enter this card in the following challenges.:

Crafters of Faith

My card today is for a challenge on Splitcoaststampers in a group where we do monthly challenges.  Vickie is our host this month and she chose the scripture "Nehemiah 9:6 You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And you preserve them all.  The host of heaven worships you."  Vickie said anything goes in our card just use the scripture to inspire our cards.

I thought about the scripture and what stood out to be was "The seas" so I made an ocean card.

I used the stamp set "Gill Friends" from My Favorite Things.  I first taped off a square in the center of the card and then used an ocean stencil with Distress Oxide ink.  I colored a few of the fish and fussy cut them out and pop dotted them on to my card.

Fun challenge from Vickie.  Thanks for inspiring us to make a card.

Challenge Your Stash

Since today is the 28th, this means that it is time for our Challenge your Stash challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  Vickie is our host this month and she came up with a very appropriate challenge for us this month.  Since October is the month when pink is seen everywhere with thousands of people participating in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month Vickie is challenging us to use the color pink in our creation.

+

I used the stamp set "Newton's Support" from Newton's Nook designs for my card.  The paper is is from Authentique called Flawless.

Great challenge Vickie.

PIP Challenge #2041

The weather sure has taken a change here in Kansas.  What a crazy week with 85 one day and 45 the next.  They are even calling for snow this week.  Guess we will get every season in 7 days.  I am still loving the fall colors.  I am always amazed at the color the trees are.  I think on my bucket list would be to go to the east and see real colors.

Today for Pammie's Inky Pinkies we are being sponsored by Star Stampz.  I decided to use the stamp "Sunflower Smiles" for my card this week since the Sunflower is our state flower.  They are also so much fun for me to color.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a wonky rectangle die to cut it out.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the Star Stampz site because she has some adorable images.  Since I love to color, these are fun images for me.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Gem of a Challenge #22 - Anything Goes

The Project Bin

I am loving all the fall colors when I go for my daily walks.  This is my favorite time of the year.  Such gorgeous colors.  Today I chose to go with that theme in making my card for The Project Bin.

I used the stamp set "Pumpkin Spice" for the sentiment and the pumpkin.  I love layering up the pumpkin with different colors of ink.  I like a yellow for the center and then orange around the edges.  I stamped the sentiment with dark brown ink and used Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy this beautiful fall weather.

Dueling Darlings

Time for our Dueling Darlings challenge today.  LJ and Terry S were our hostesses this month and they chose a fun theme of halloween.  Gnomes are all the rage right now so Terry sent us images from Photoplay called "Gnome For the Holidays Halloween".  I had so much fun coloring up these adorable halloween images.

The images were stamped on Neenah Classic Crest super smooth white paper with Memento Tuxedo Black which is my favorite ink to use when coloring with copics.

The designer paper is also from Photoplay.  The enamel dots are from Gina Marie and the ribbons are from The Ribbon Boutique.

Thanks Terry and LJ for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2041

Another week begins and I have another card I made for Pammie's Inky Pinkies challenge #2041.  This weeks challenge is being sponsored by one of my favorite stamp companies which is Newton's Nook Designs.  I love this stamp company because of the adorable cat stamps and other adorable stamps they have.

For my card today I used the stamp set "Harvest Tails" which is one of my favorite fall stamps that I find myself using every fall season.  I recently bought some new coloring pencils by Arteza and decided to give them a try in coloring my image.  They blend so nicely and I really like the finished product.  The designer paper I used was from LDRS Happy Fall.

I hope to see your projects over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and be sure and check out Newton's Nook Designs.

Crafters of Faith

Yesterday was our reveal day for our Crafters of Faith group but I wanted to used my project for The Project Bin so I thought I would post it today.

Kelly is our hostess this month and she chose Isaiah 34:2 as our scripture for the month of October.  It reads "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you".  Kelly challenged us to create a card that shows your Deep Blue - the ocean, the sea or anything using blue as a predominant color.

I don't really have alot of ocean themed stamps so I went with the color blue as predominant.

I used several colors of blue oxide and colored heavily on my white cardstock.  I then used white embossing powder on the flowers and then did watercolor to bring out the layers of color.  I added the happy birthday in the center of the card.

Thanks Kelly for a great challenge.

The Project Bin

It is beginning to feel like fall here in Kansas.  I am enjoying the cooler temperatures and the gorgeous colors of the trees.

For my project this week I decided to make a treat box for The Project Bin using the stamp set "Pumpkin Spice".

The box is a diecut from Lawn Fawn.  I assembled the box and then stamped a pumpkin from the stamp set and the spice container.  I stamped the pumpkin with yellow ink first and focused on the center.  I then used an orange ink to go around the edges.  I used a small circle die for the background and added the elements to the front of the box.

I am planning on filling the box with a Homemade Pumpkin Spice mix that you can find HERE.  I thought this would make a nice little fall gift.

Challenge Your Stash

Today I have a card I made for our "Challenge Your Stash" group on Splitcoaststampers.  It is always so much fun to see what the hostess comes up with.  I was lucky enough to be the hostess this month and I chose "Leaves" as my challenge.

I love playing with alcohol inks and developing a fun piece of paper.  I thought this made a beautiful background to my Lawn Fawn leaf die cuts.  I just used colors that reminded me of fall.  I am seeing alot more leaves falling in our area.  Not sure if it is because it is so dry or maybe cooler temperatures.  I just hope they don't all fall to the ground before we can see some beautiful trees.

PIP Challenge #2039

This week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies we have another challenge.  There is no sponsor this week but Pam is generously offering a $10 gift card to Unity Stamp Company.  Who wouldn't love to win that.  They have so many neat stamp sets there.  I love her digitals also which is what I used for my card today.

For my card I used the digital image "You Owe Yourself".  I printed off the image and then cut it out with my Brother Scan n cut.  I love that machine.  It is so great to use on digital images where you do not have a matching die.  I would like to say that I never buy dies but unfortunately that is not true.

I colored the image with my copic markers and added a few enamel dots.

I hope to see your entries over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies

The Project Bin

Today my card is all about friendship.  I have made many friends throughout the years and I am thankful for each and every friend I have made.

For my card I used the stamp set "#bff" from The Project Bin.  I just love the sentiments on this stamp set.  It is the perfect set to have if you send alot of cards to your friends.

This card is actually called a Double Dutch Fold card.  Instructions on how to make this card can be found at https://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/doubledutchfold/.

Thanks to all my friends for all the years of friendship.

Monthly Image

I am in a group of wonderful ladies on Splitcoaststampers where we share images each month.  I love this group because I never know what is going to be our stamp of the month.  This is the card I made for this month.

Kathi was our hostess this month and she chose Autum Blessings by Wplus9Designs.  I love this image because I love any excuse to pull out my copic markers and have a fun time coloring.  I especially love coloring the different colors in the fall leaves.

The Bountiful die and Blessing stamp are from a Papertrey Ink set.

Thanks Kathi for such a great challenge this month.

Dueling Darlings

The 15th of the month kind of snuck up on me.  Time is going by so fast this month.  Today is reveal day for our Dueling Darlings challenge.  Beth was one of our hostesses this month and she chose a theme as "A Roaring Good Time" along with Heather.

I thought this little guy was just adorable.  The image is "The 20's Fellas" from CC Designs.  The paper is from Bo Bunny and Ella & Viv.  The embellishments I used were twine (Michaels and Best Creation Inc) and Medley sequins.

Thanks to Heather and Beth for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2037

I made a fun card today for PIP Challenge #2037 in honor of my 2 tabby kitties.  This week is being sponsored by Gerda Steiner Designs.  I used the stamp set "What's on the table?" for my card.

I colored the images with my copic markers.  It is so fun to be able to size the elements for the card.  I decided to use the floral digital stamp as a picture on the wall.  So fun and what a fun birthday party this would be with both cookies and cupcakes.

Be sure and check out Gerda Steiner Designs because they have some amazing digital stamps.

The Project Bin

Today my card for The Project Bin showcases the new Christmas stamp called Mid Century Christmas and the matching die

I started this card my taking a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of white card stock and using the tree die, I cut out the center of the card.  I then used a falling snow embossing folder on that white piece of card stock.  I then stamped the green tree in the window using 2 colors of green ink.  The tree stand at the bottom of the tree was stamped separately so only the bottom part of the stand showed.  The sentiment wad stamped at the lower right of the card.  I die cut the star and added it to the outer layer.  I used red stickles for the ornaments on the tree.

Such a fun card to make since making the window gives it dimension.  It would of made a great shaker card.  Oh well next time.

mid century Christmas, retro Christmas, card making, Christmas cards, hand made cards, hand stamped cards, clear stamps, stamps with matching dies, Santa, Christmas tree, sentiment stamps, theprojectbin.com, steel dies                  mid century Christmas, retro Christmas, card making, Christmas cards, hand made cards, hand stamped cards, clear stamps, stamps with matching dies, Santa, Christmas tree, sentiment stamps, theprojectbin.com, steel dies

Crafters of Faith

Happy Labor Day.  It is a warm one here in Kansas but looking further in the week we have nice cooling weather in our future.

My card today is for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess this month is Dawn and she chose John 15:1-8 as her scripture for this month.  "As it is the fall and a time of harvest, consider the fruits you have grown this year through your thoughts, words and actions".  Dawn challenged us to show case fruit on our cards.

For my card I used the applies as my fruit.  I just love apples in the fall time.  Whether it be apple pie, caramel apples, apple cider, I love it all.  These images are from Your Next Stamp "Autumn Harvest" stamp set.  I stamped the images off and colored them with my copic markers.  The background was done using distress oxides (Fired Brick, Fossilized Amber, Spiced Marmalade, and Squeezed lemonade) and water.

Thanks for much for this great challenge Dawn.  Always fun.

PIP Challenge #2035

There is a fun challenge this week over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week is being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.  If you are looking for fun cutting files, this is the place to find them.

An extra challenge this week is to use the color orange.  For my project today I decided to use The Post It Note Holder set.
I found some fun papers that used the color orange and cut them out.  I added a few flowers and ribbon to the box.
With the cutting file, you also get the labels for the inside which I thought was fun.  The wrap dimensions for each of the note pads is also included.

What a great challenge this week.  Hope to see you over at PIP Challenges.

Challenge Your Stash

Well today is reveal day for Challenge Your Stash Group on Splitcoaststampers.  This group is always so much fun and I never know what fun the challenge will be for the month.  Maggie is our hostess this month and she challenged us to use a pet in our card.  That one was an easy one for me.  I made a birthday card for a friend (who also loves cats). My friend just got a new orange tabby kitten so I thought this card would be perfect for her.
The stamp set I used was from Newtons Nook called Newton Loves Boxes.  I used my copic markers to color him just like her new kitten and in honor of my 2 cats.

Great challenge Maggie.

The Project Bin

Today I am posting another Christmas card I made for The Project Bin using their new stamp "Mid Century Christmas".
mid century Christmas, retro Christmas, card making, Christmas cards, hand made cards, hand stamped cards, clear stamps, stamps with matching dies, Santa, Christmas tree, sentiment stamps, theprojectbin.com, steel dies

Isn't this a beautiful stamp set?  I just love the font that Denise used in designing this stamp set.  For my card today I decided to use the adorable Santa face.
I colored the santa face with my copic markers and then fussy cut the image out.  I then came up with a design for my card that highlights the Santa.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I appreciate all my followers.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
