Remember This

It is an absolute gorgeous day here so I thought I better post early and then head out and enjoy this beautiful weather.

Today I am posting a picture of a class that I will be teaching at Remember This Remember That on Aug 2.  Since the first class filled up, I will be teaching a 2nd class on August 16.  The fee for the class is $18 or $35 with the tray.  What a bargain because I have been busy cutting each little piece out of the class.

This is such a great way to use some family photographs.
So join me if you can and enjoy this wonderful weather while we have it.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge July 23

I had to really think about this challenge for Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  The Challenge is to have a letter somewhere on the card and it cannot be part of the sentiment.  The twist of the challenge was to include a number.  I remembered an e-mail I had received from my sister that we got a big laugh about because she used texting lingo in her e-mail that I didn't understand.  It helps that she has 5 grandchildren that are always texting her and keeping her up on all the latest texting words.  So this is my take on the challenge.  I love the bright colors in this stack I received from one of my SCS buddies.

Card Box

I made some monogram cards for a friend of mine and wanted to find a way to give them in a nice packaged set so I went to Pinterest and found this box by Jill Hilliard.  Be sure and check out her blog for specific instructions on the box.  It was very easy to make.

Be sure and try this.  It makes the best gift.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge July 9

It is time for another challenge at Twisted Tuesday.  Today's challenge was to use something that starts with the letter I.  I went for ink of course.  The twist was to use an embossing folder.  I used the large dot folder and sponged around the edges with ink.  I used PTI mat stack die and stamped background.

This was a great challenge.  Be sure and play along if you can.

This is my other challenge card for the Online Card Class that starts tomorrow.  Challenge 2 is a sketch challenge.  I always love those because it is so fun to see what everyone else comes up with.  Here is my take on the sketch.

Summer Card Camp Color Challenge

I have signed up for the Summer Card Camp 2.   This online class goes for 3 weeks and will be full of some wonderful tips and ideas.  I have done these online classes before and I am always amazed at all the great ideas I get.

Part of the fun is the Pre-Class Challenges.  For the first challenge, it is to use 4 out of 5 of the colors they selected.  That was an easy one for me since my new favorite 6 x 6 paper pad "Happy Day" by My Mind's Eye had some paper with these colors.  Of course my creation had to have a butterfly in it.  I sure get alot of use out of these Memory Box Butterfly Dies.  Add a doily and you have a great birthday card.

Be sure and check back tomorrow because I have made another card for their other pre-class challenge.  It is a sketch challenge.  I do love those so see you tomorrow.

July Challenge Card

Over at Splitcoast Stampers I am in a group of very talented women who pick a image every month and each participant does something with that image.  It is so fun to see everyone's twist on what they think the card should look like.  July was my month to pick an image so I went to Dearie Dolls website and found an adorable image called Sunbathing Beauty.

This is my card that I made.  I colored the card with my copics and then added a few embellishments to it.  I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.
I decided to enter this card in a few challenges.  They are:
CCEE Stampers - Theme Summer is Beach Time
DRS Designs - Theme Summer Sun, Summer Fun
My Heart Pieces Digital Stamp Challenge - Theme Use your Favorite thing (My copics of course)

Mojo Sketch Challenge 300

I decided to dig in to my stamps and find one that I haven't used.  I came across this adorable Pure Innocence for My Favorite Things called "My Balloon".  I colored the image with my copics and then was stuck with what now??  I found a sketch challenge on Mojo Monday and it worked perfectly with  my image.

I used papers for My Mind's Eye "Happy Day".  All the papers I had and I had to go buy this adorable 6 x 6 paper pad.  I just love all the colors in this pad.  It is now going to be my new favorite.

Be sure and check out Mojo Monday because they are hitting their 300th challenge.  How exciting for them.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
