Think Halloween

Well finally I have finished my samples for my class that I am hoping to teach at Remember This Remember That in Gardner on Friday, August 17 from 1-3pm.  Please join me if you can.  I love this slider box.

These are the 2 cards that I will be teaching.  I used several of the Memory Box Dies which I am becoming a real fan of.

So join me if you can at my first go at teaching a class.

Tuesday Morning Sketches #156

It has been a while since I have done a challenge card.  Of course I always go to Tuesday Morning Sketches when I am needing some inspiration.  They always have the best sketches.  I colored this PTI flower image with my copic markers and then decided it was time to try my hand at using fabric tape.

The designer paper was My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline.  I just love these colors.

Be sure and check back tomorrow because I will be posting a picture of my projects for the class I am hoping to teach at Remember This Remember That in Gardner.

Watermelon Bag

Today I made this cute little watermelon bag to give to my sister.  I used the watermelon digital image from Two Paper Divas called Watermelon Time.  I sized the watermelon for the large one and colored it with my copic markers.  The small watermelons were printed on a pink patterned paper.  I then used the Spellbinders large scallop oval which worked perfect to cut in half and makes a perfect edge for the watermelon.

The tag doesn't show up real well but it says "Thanks a melon".  Thought that was cute.

Monogram Card

I had decided to make some notecards for one of my co-workers.  I had seen this design on SCS somewhere and thought it is so adorable.  I made her a set of 6.  Sure wish I had some for myself.  Maybe I will get around to making myself some.

Boy in Sand

I am in a group on Splitcoast stampers that we get to choose a monthly image.  I received this darling boy along with the crab and pail for our challenge for July.  Isn't it adorable.  I bought the little seashells at the convention over the weekend and also the sand mixture which was perfect for the card.

You can see some of the other cards HERE.  There are some talented people in this group and it is always fun to see what everyone comes up with.

Brandon and his trophy

Today I had to post a picture of my great-nephew Brandon who won Grand Champion in the fishing derby for his age group at our local fair.  He is one terrific fisherman.  I am not surprised at all that he won.  I was so proud of him that I decided to make him a card and send it in the mail as congratulations.

I bought this image at the Rubber Stamp Convention that I went to over the weekend.  Thought it was quite appropriate for the occasion.

Winnings

Above is a picture of what I bought with my winnings.  I love those dies from Memory Box.  I also bought several of Our Daily Bread Designs.  And it would be complete without buying more paper pads.  I just don't have enough at my house.  HA!

Below is some of my purchases.  More fun things to play with.

I hope to be better at posting this week.  I have alot to share. Going to the show has inspired me and I have been a busy bee.

Have a great week.

Convention

I had a great time at the Rubber Stamp Convention in KC.  It was so nice to spend time with my good friends.  I sure hope they come back again next year because I sure got alot of great items.
I was also lucky enough to win one of the first prizes on my card that I submitted for the contest.  The theme of the  contest was Mirror, Mirror.  I thought of how I see myself when I look in the mirror.  I am still very young at heart.  The only thing that would of made it better was if my friends Patty or Bonnie could of won with me.  Patty's card is the House Mouse one sitting next to mine and Bonnie's is the sweet girl sitting in the mirror below mine.  Both were adorable and should of won also.
This is a picture of me with Bonnie.  You can see in the background all the great booths.  It was great fun visiting each and everyone of them.

This a picture of all the entries and mine with a star.  Yeah.
The prize was $100 in product which took me about 5 minutes to spend.  I will post a picture of all my purchases tomorrow.  Have to unpack them all.  It was such a great day.

Challenge Card

They are having a Rubber Stamp Convention in Kansas City in a couple of weeks and they were having a contest.  I decided to enter this card.  The theme of the card was supposed to be "Mirror, Mirror on the Wall".

I had a difficult time with a sentiment.  I got some great ideas from my friends Vannessa and Patty but decided to go with this one "What Matters Most is How you see Yourself".  The old lady is a digital image from Bugaboo Stamps where they have some darling digital stamps.  Her name is Stella and she fit in perfect with what I was try to show.  I wanted to show someone looking in a mirror and how they see themselves.

The little girl was from Ladybug Crafts Ink and came with a magazine.  The Designer paper is Miss Caroline from My Mind's Eye which is a current favorite of mine.  I had such a fun time with this card.  Even if I don't win anything, it sure was fun to make the card.

More projects coming.

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July to everyone.  Looks like it is going to be a hot one.  I made this card to send to my parents.  It doesn't show up real well in the picture but I loved the fence die from PTI.  The paper just made it.

Hope everyone has a great holiday.  Stay cool.

Keep watching because I have several projects to post this week.  Finally finished some projects and have something to post.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
