Card Kits for October

I have been quite busy today. Went to eat at our favorite Mexican restaurant and then I crafted all day. Today I am posting the card kits that I made this weekend. I am going to get together with some friends the first weekend in October and I thought I would make up some card kits. I am trying to apply new techniques with each one. I still have a couple more to make. Be sure and check back tomorrow and see what I made for a swap "Fight Like a Girl".

Christmas Card Challenge #6

Okay everyone I am going to give my first sketch posting a try. I was excited to make a Christmas card because now I am in the groove to be creative. I would love to see what everyone comes up with on my first IC Challenge. There is no time limit on these. So, please feel free to create some Christmas cards in September...

I used my scroll embossing folder which is a favorite of mine and then cut 1 3/4 inch circles with a SU punch. I then stamped Merry Christmas and added some ribbon. Had to dig in my scraps since I haven't bought any Christmas paper yet this year.

ICC9 Sketch Challenge

I decided to try this Inspired Crafters Sketch Challenge. If you would like to see more cards from this challenge, go to the blog of Inspired Crafters. They have great ideas for scrapbook pages and cards. On Sunday they will post a challenge for a Christmas card which I plan to do also. Going to get started on Christmas cards early this year and this is what is going to get me moving. I like to do these because it gives me ideas of what to do and some new creativity.

September Quilt

This was the wall quilt I made for the pediatric unit at the hospital I work in. I couldn't really come up with a theme for September. Someone suggested sunflowers and this is what I came up with. I am anxious no to start on October. Almost forgot the picture.

Composition Pad

I found these notebooks at Target for 25 cents so I thought wow what a bargain. So I decorated them up a bit and this is what I came up with. Love these purple colors.

Crayon Resist

I used a new technique called crayon resist to make this card. I really like the look and will be trying it again. I always feel that I could of done it just a tad bit better. This stamp set is "Greeting Card Kids" from SU. It has a heart image, back to school image, Christmas image and this halloween image. I colored it in with my copic markers.

Flower Box

Today I made a cute little box where I connected 4 of the Petal Cards. I added a border in the center and filled it with chocolates. Yum. Be sure and check back tomorrow because I tried a new technique.
