Challenge Your Stash

Well today's card was super fun for me.  Over on Splitcoaststampers I am in a group that is called Creating!  Challenge Your Stash.  Each month we have a hostess who comes up with a fun challenge.

Jeanette was our hostess this month and her theme is Bugs!  I thought of several ideas.  Is a Butterfly considered a bug, is a bee considered a bug.  Couldn't decided so I went a totally different direction.

When I was in high school, I had a friend who had a Volkswagon "Bug".  It was so much fun to cruise around town in it.  So when I thought of bugs I remembered the VW beetle (bug).

The fun stamp set I used was Dare 2B Artzy Groovy Van.  I substituted the vw bug for the van in the stamp set.  The paper is also by Dare 2 B Artzy called Feelin Groovy and Peace & Love.

Now doesn't this card take you back a few years?  Thanks to Jeanette for the great Challenge.  I doubt this is what she had in mind but thought I would stretch the challenge.

PIP Challenge #2425

I am enjoying my walks right now looking at all the beautiful flowers that are blooming.  This weeks challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges was so fun for me because I got to color some flowers.  The sponsor this week is Beccy's Place.

For my card today I decided to use the image "Thinking of You".
This image was so fun to color and made a wonderful birthday card.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  You get several sentiments to pick from.  I chose Happy Birthday since I am always looking for Birthday cards.

The papers I used for my card were from The Sunflower Collection by Crafters Companion.  The die I used was Spellbinders Scalloped Oval Die.

Thanks to Beccy's Place for sponsoring us at PIP Challenges this week.

Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge

Since it has been quite hot outside, I have spent more time at my crafting table.  I decided to get a jump start on my Christmas cards.  For some inspiration I went to Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge.  They are having a sketch challenge this week which I always enjoy.

For my card I decided to use the stamp set "Snowman Greetings".  I thought this was the most adorable image.  What I love about Newtons Nook Designs is the quality of their stamps.  I get such a clean stamped image every time.
I stamped the image and then colored it with my copic markers.  Such a fun image to color.  I just love coloring snowmen.  The papers I used were Simple Stores Mix & A Mingle.  I love this color combination.

Thanks to Newtons Nook Designs for a great challenge.

Creative Crew

It is time for another challenge from our Creative Crew group on Splitcoast Stampers.  Barb and Jeanette came up with our challenge this month.  They came up with a fun challenge.

First off we had the color challenge.
Second we had this sketch challenge.

So this was the card I came up with.  I used the stamp set Newtons Nook Newton Loves Coffee and stamped some of the small images on to a scalloped rectangle.  I then colored the adorable kitty and pop dotted it on to the rectangle.

Thanks to Jeanette and Barb for such a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2423

Today's challenge over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies (pammiesinkypinkieschallenges.blogspot.com) is being sponsored by Penguin Palace.

I hope you visit their store because they have some adorable images.  It was hard to choose which one to use for our challenge this week.  I chose one of the images from Milk, Tea, or Me stamp set because I think there is something so adorable about the cow image.

For my card I printed off the image and then colored it with my copic markers.  I always try and match the papers if I can.  The fun paper is Coffee and friends by Echo Park.  I also used a Spellbinders scalloped oval die for the background of the image.  The tag in the corner is from an ephemera pack from the same paper line.  I added a black twine bow in the corner and some enamel dots in the lower right corner.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

I hope you check out Penguin Palace because I know you would find something you like.  Digital images are just so easy to store.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
