Challenge Your Stash

I just love the group I am in on Splitcoaststampers  This group has us "Challenge our Stash" every month.  I seem to have alot in my stash and I am finding that I really don't miss buying more product with this quaranteening at home.  It gives me the chance to use what I have and something that has not been touched.  Which brings me to our challenge this month selected by Joyce.  She challenged us to use a floral stamp that we had not used before.  I have so many and wondered which one I should use.  I dug through my unused stamps and pulled out one I thought would be perfect for the challenge.

I have a friend Kelly who is the most generous person I know and she had sent me the stamp "Artistic Bouquet" by Powerpoppy a while back knowing how I love to color.  Well I was waiting on just the right person to make a card for when using this stamp set.

I made this birthday card for my friend Silvia who is the nicest person that you will ever meet.  We used to work together before I retired and our love of cardmaking and crafting sealed our friendship.

So this card is dedicated to 2 of my friends whose friendships I treasure.  Kelly from afar and Silvia who is always game for any crafting adventure I suggest.

PIP Challenge # 2017

Today brings us another Challenge from PIP Challenges.  This week we do not have a sponsor so we were able to use a card of our choosing.  For my card I decided to make a card in dedication to all those wonderful nurses out there.
I used this digital stamp called "Angel of Mercy" for my card.  The stamp is from Jan's Digi Stamps and she is offering it free right now.  Thanks to Jan for offering this as a free stamp.

I have worked in the healthcare field for 30 years and I have come to admire and appreciate what our nurses do on a daily basis.  I think it is a truly calling and I want to thank each and every nurse out there who dedicates their lives to helping others.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafting Happiness Challenge #46 - Anything Goes Optional Occupations
Make My Monday Challenge #121 - Use a Digital Stamp

The Project Bin

Today my card for The Project Bin is a masculine card that I thought would be good for all those motorcycle riders out there.

I used the stamp set "Wild Thing" from The Project Bin.
card making, clear stamps, steel dies, stamps with matching dies, masculine cards, card ideas, bikers, sentiments, theprojectbin.com, hand made cards, hand stamped cards,

This is such a fun detailed stamp that not much coloring is requied on it.  I colored the tire and the headlights and used the matching die to cut out the image.  Even the shadow beneath the tire is a die.  What a great set.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope to have more posted soon.

Stay safe and healthy.

SCS Swap

Today is reveal day for our SCS group.  Janet was our hostess this month and she chose this adorable image from Inky Antics called Pups Ladybug Friend.
I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a tag die to but out the image.  The designer papers are from Mintay called Dreamer.  I can see why because these papers are just dreamy.

Have a great weekend everyone and stay safe.

Dueling Darlings

Today is reveal day for our Dueling Darling group on Splitcoaststampers.  Suzy and Debby were our hostesses this month.  They came up with the perfect challenge this month which was Texas Bluebonnets.  Who doesn't love a showing of those beautiful flowers across Texas?

Texas blue bonnets under a stormy sky. Purple storm clouds rolling over a twilight field of Texas blue bonnets with a pole fence running through it royalty free stock image

For my card I used a bluebonnet image from Deadbeat Designs.  The Designer papers are from Paper Studio and the ribbon is Offray off white.  I colored the image with my copic markers that had been stamped with Color Box Pigment ink in Royal Blue.
Thanks to Deb and Suzy for a great challenge this month.

The Project Bin

Well I got a little confused on my posts this month for The Project Bin so I get to post another card this month.

I have several new babies that are arriving this year in our family so I decided that a baby card would be perfect for my card this week.
I hand drew the baby onsies and cut them out on my Brother Scan n cut.  I used a permanet black marker to draw the dashes around the onsie.  The baby sentiment and the Happy Baby sentiment are from the stamp set "Defined".  I love this stamp set because it is so versatile and all the different sentiments on there.  I will be making several more cards in the future with this set.

clear stamps, word art, theprojectbin, mother's day, father's day, new baby, get well, special person, faith
Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the other projects made with this stamp set on The Project Bin website.

PIP Challenge #2015

I hope everyone had a great Easter.  It was definitely different.  I sure missed getting together with my extended family but did have a nice enjoyable day at home sewing still more masks.  My little contribution to this crisis we are having in our country.  I want to thank every healthcare worker out there since I have several family members and friends in that field.  I am always amazed at their dedication to their jobs.

For our Challenge #2015 this week at PIP Challenges we are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps which is one of the largest digital stamp companies I know.  If you need an image that makes you smile I am sure Bugaboo Digi Stamps has something for you.  For my card I used the adorable Balloon Giraffe image because I have a friend who loves Giraffes.  Now I have her birthday card all ready to go.
I colored this cute little guy with my copic markers and added a stitched cloud with Happy Birthday on it.  Such a fun little image.

Be sure and check out Bugaboo Stamps because they have alot of images on sale right now.

Crafters of Faith

Today I am posting a card for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  I was the hostess today and had chosen my scripture months ago which is so appropriate right now.  The scripture I chose was Proverbs 27:9 which reads "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul".  During this time of Stay at Home orders, I have reached out to friends from years ago.  So nice to touch base even over the phone.
For my card I chose to make something just a little different.  I had this wonderful stamp set from Sugar Pea Designs called You're My Type.  I stamped "You're my type of friend" above the roller bar on the typewriter and stamped the word Friend 3 times above the piece of designer paper.  Such a simple card but fun to do.

Thanks for stopping by and reach out to your friends both near and far.  Just to hear a friendly voice at this time can make all the difference.

Just a Little Humor

Since the stay at home order has been issued in our state, I find that I am making more cards and having more time to post on my blog.

Today I am posting a card I made for a friend that will hopefully put a smile on her face.
Have you been to the store and noticed all the empty shelves in the toilet paper aisle?  Well I think we all would appreciate having just a couple of rolls in our cabinets for back ups!

The image is a free digital image from Whimsy Stamps.  So nice of them to offer free stamps right now.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope this card provides just a little sunshine to your day.

The Project Bin

Today I decided to post a card that is quite appropriate for the situation we are in right now.  I just received a new stamp set from The Project Bin called Defined.

This stamp set is so amazing and the possibilities are endless.  For my card today I decided to use the word faith because I think that is something we could all use right now.
The cross is from the stamp set "Spring Zen" by The Project Bin.  I printed it off and colored it with my copic markers.  I then scanned the image on my Brother Scan N cut and cut it out.  I also printed off a little larger image with my scan n cut in the black card stock.  I then placed the cross where I wanted it on the card and stamped the faith wording onto the card.  I added a few gems and the Praying for you sentiment at the top right corner of the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  And remember if we all need a little faith to get us through.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
