Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for a group I am in on Splitcoaststampers.  I am the hostess this month and got to choose the challenge.  Well for me it was easy because I love hearts so I challenged everyone to have a heart somewhere on their card.   I forgot to take a picture of the card I wanted to use to I quickly made a clean and simple card that has hearts on it.
I just cut out a heart on the front of the card with my Stampin Up Heart Punch and then used a small Spellbinders Scalloped heart die for the center.

This was what I intended as my challenge card but at least I have a valentine's card ready for next year.

PIP Challenge #1807

Time again for another challenge from Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge.  This challenge (#1807) is being sponsored by Digital Delights.

For my card today I used the stamp set called Celebration Owl.  There is just something about owls that are so cute.
I printed off the image and then colored using my copic markers.  I added the celebrate die in red cardstock and as extra celebration idea.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out Digital Delights for your digital stamp needs.

Dueling Darlings Challenge

Since it is the 15th of the month that means it is time for our Dueling Darlings Challenge.  This month our hostesses were Kelly and Jeanette.  Their theme was "Something I Love".  Some of the things that Jeanette Loves are:
Images with umbrellas
Whipper Snapper Stamps
Using Found/recycled items on her cards.

The image is by Whipper Snapper called "Rainy Day Renee".  I had so much fun coloring this with my copics.  The sun and clouds are by Gina Marie. The base of the card is actually a Reynolds Cut-Rite Sandwich bag.  Jeanette said we got bonus points for using it.  HA!  Well all I need is a challenge.
This is the inside of the card.  I actually added the umbrella die for effect.  The sentiments are from LaLaLand (Rain or Shine) and Whipper Snapper (Friends are...).

I made the white card as an insert for the envelope.  What a fun challenge this was.  I was able to use every single item that Jeanette sent me.

The Cat's Pajamas #343 Challenge

I recently purchased some stamps from The Cat's Pajamas and thought I would make a card today with some of my recently purchased items.
The stamp set I used was "Strange and Wonderful".  I stamped out the image and colored with my copic markers.  I then used my distress oxide for a cloud background.  I also used a designer paper with clouds on it.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set and I used the Ribbon Banners CutUps Die .

The challenge today over at The Cat's Pajamas is to use an animal in your project.  I'm sure a penguin would be considered an animal.

Papertrey Ink Anniversary Day 5

The challenge today for the 11th Anniversary PTI Day 5 card was to pick one of the retiring stamp sets and make a card.  I chose the Boy Basics:  Frog Hop Mini Set to make my card.
I just stamped some of the images off and colored with copic markers.  I hate to see this set retired because it is so adorable.

PTI 11th Anniversary Day 4

Today's card is to celebrate the 11th Anniversary of Papertrey Ink.  The challenge today is to make a card with a floral in mind.
Several years ago I had purchased some designer paper from Papertrey Ink called Beautiful Blooms thinking of you.  It is my all time favorite paper.  There is just something about the Hawaiian Shores color and red that I just love.  So the background piece of paper is from that set.  I used the In Bloom impression plate on my Hawaiian Shores piece of cardstock.  I used the Mat Stack 3 Collection and Matching Die for the next piece.  I then had to pull out my favorite of all time PTI floral set "Rosie Posie" and Matching Dies.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

What fun I have had pulling out some of my favorite Papertrey Ink stamp sets that haven't been used in a while.

Be sure and check out the other creations submitted for this challenge HERE.

11th Anniversary PTI Challenge

Happy 11th Anniversary to Papertrey Ink.  I have followed them from the beginning and I am always so amazed at the creativity of the design team and the inspiration I get from their stamps.

Today Papertrey Ink starts a week long celebration with a challenge to use one of the design team sketches they have provided.  I chose the sketch by Lizzie Jones.

For my card I pulled out one of my favorite stamps sets from Papertrey Ink called "In Bloom".
I started by stamping the background of a dark green piece of cardstock with the leaf stamp from the set using Versamark Ink.  I then cut out the flowers and colored them with copic markers.  I love the sentiment that comes with this set.

I hope you enjoyed this card and be sure and check back tomorrow because I have done another challenge card for the anniversary.

Crafters of Faith

Today is reveal day for our Crafters of Faith group over on Splitcoaststampers.  Liz was our hostess this month and her challenge for us came from Psalm 42:1 "As a deer pants for flowing streams, so pants my soul for you, O God".  Liz challenged us to make a masculine card with deer or a scene from a lake or forest.

I am loving the new stamp set "Waterfront" from Stampin Up so I decided to use it for my masculine card.It was so easy to just stamp all the different images.  I have to admit thought that I had stamped the image and smeared the ink.  Who hasn't done that a time or two?  Well I then just put a black piece of punched cardstock and white cardstock with the sentiment over it.
Thanks Liz for a wonderful inspirational challenge.

PIP Challenge #1805 and Inky Paws Challenge

I am so excited today because today at PIP Challenges we have Newton's Nook Designs as our sponsor this week for Challenge #1805.  I find that they have the most adorable animal stamps out on the market.  You will probably notice that I love doing their Inky Paws Challenge every other week.  They always have such great inspiration on their blog.

For my card today I made my dog loving sister a valentine card using the stamp set "Darling Duos" from Newton's Nook.
I first stamps the adorable dogs on the lower right hand corner of my paper and then colored them with my copic markers.  I then used Real Red Ink from Stampin Up to stamp out the hearts.  I cut them out and pop dotted them to the card.  I also stamped a few small hearts and Love on the card. I finished up the card by adding a few banners at the upper left hand corner.  I pop dotted the one in the middle to give it a little dimension.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and join us over at PIP Challenges because a lucky winner gets a $15 gift card from Newton's Nook

I have also decided to enter my card in the challenge over at Inky Paws Challenge.  They are having a color challenge this week using the photo below.
