Bird Crazy

I recently purchased the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy and Flower Garden Stamp Sets.  I am having so much fun with them.  When I started to color I wondered hmmm my zig markers or the distress inks.  I thought well I will try both a decide which I like best.

I first stamped the image on watercolor paper and then clear embossed over the image.  It gives it a bit of a raised effect.  For my first image I used the following colors of Distress Inks.  For the bird I used Scattered Straw, Tumbled Glass and Spiced Marmalade.  For the Flower I used Scattered Straw, Pickled Raspberry, Gathered Twigs, Rusty Hinge and Mowed Lawn.  I thought it turned out okay.   I first saw the great idea of putting the flower on the birds head at "That's Life" Blog.  Wish I could say it was an original idea but no.
Well then I decided to used my Zig Clean Color Watercolor Markers.  Now I know why I like them so much.  Just look how vibrant the colors are on this card.  I am loving them more every day.  They blend so nicely.  For the card I used the following colors:  Bird - 051 Cobalt Blue, 051 Lemon Yellow, 070 Orange;  Flower - 050 Yellow, 025 Pink, 060 Brown, 064 Oatmeal, 041 Light Green.
The sentiment was perfect for this goofy card.  It is from Tim Holtz Crazy Talk.  One thing leads to another and each is a have to own.

I decided to enter these cards in a couple challenges:

Scrapbook Blessings Club - Anything goes - Use your Favorite Technique (Mine is currently Watercoloring)
Digitally Sweet Challenge - Use anything with wings - My little birds have wings
Creative Knockouts - Flower Power
