Challenge Your Stash

Jen was our hostess this month for our Challenge Your Stash group on Splitcoaststampers.  She decided the challenge would be "Old School".  To me the challenge meant to dust off something that I had stashed away and hadn't used in a while.

I have hung on to my gelatos because I love the technique of using them, so I thought this would be perfect for the challenge.
For my card I found a stencil that I liked and placed it over a white background piece of cardstock.  I then took several gelato markers and sponged over the stencil.  I then misted the whole piece of paper with water.  After that part dried I took a large text stamp and used my blue gelato to go over the whole stamp and placed it over the stenciled part.  I did not mist this part because I didn't want it to smudge.  I then added a few embellishments with the sentiment which is from a stamp set called "Birthday Girl" by The Project Bin.

Thanks for stopping by.  You can see some of the other creations HERE that our team came up with.  It is always fun to see how everyone else interprets the challenge.

Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #117

Today I decided to get a jump on my Easter cards and found a fun sketch challenge over at Newton's Nook Inky Paws Challenge #117

I love the sketch challenges because I am always amazed how everyone does their own thing with the challenge.
For my card I used the adorable Newton's Easter Basket stamp set.  I stamped the image off and colored the image with my copic markers.  It is so colorful and fun.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from the same stamp set.

They just released some new Easter/Spring stamps at Newton's Nook.  I can't wait to get my hands on them.

I also decided to end this card in the following challenges:

The stamp set is called "Just Sayin" and I love the font that is used on this set.

For my card I decided to use the stamp set Newton's Easter Basket.  I just love all the adorable Easter images that were included with this set.
I stenciled some clouds on the white oval and then pop dotted the adorable kitty image that I colored with my copic markers.

Inky Paws Challenge

Happy Valentine's Day to all.  I hope everyone is celebrating with their loved ones.  I hope my day includes a little chocolate.

Today I have decided to post a birthday card I made with the Inky Paws Challenge #116 in mind.  It is a color challenge and I have to say that this is my favorite color combo.  I just love red and teals together.
For my card I used the stamp set "Fetching Friendship" which I have used several times.  For the layout I used the Flags and Frames Die Set.
After cutting the center white piece, I taped across the lower part of the cardstock and used distress oxide to do a little sponging.  I colored the images with my copic markers.

What a fun challenge this was.  Thanks to Newton's Nook again for wonderful inspiration.

Crafters of Faith

Faye is our hostess this month for our Crafters of Faith group on Splitcoaststampers.  She chose Psalms 63:3-4 for our scripture for our challenge.  "Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.  Thus I will bless you while I live; I will lift up my hands in your name."

Faye challenged us to make a card with love as our theme.

I fell in love with the Simply Vintage My Valentine paper by Simple stories and knew that would be my card.  I used a chipboard embellishments and a few gems for the card.  The scalloped heart is Lacy Heart stackables by Lawn Fawn.

Thanks to Faye for a great challenge.

The Project Bin

I just received this new stamp set in the mail from the Project Bin called Just Sayin.  I knew I had to make a card right away using this set.  I seem to be running low on Birthday cards so I was thrilled to have something new to play with.

card making, hand made cards, hand stamped cards, clear stamps, photopolymer stamps, theprojectbin.com, sentiments, birthday cards, card ideas, dog stamps, cat stamps, thank you stamps
I love all the swirly words on this stamp set.  For my card today I used some beautiful Mintay paper called Bloomville which worked perfect for the sentiment.
I really like how this card turned out.  I just added a bow, some flowers and a butterfly to accent the sentiment.

Monthly Image

I have been busy making valentine cards this week.  I have always loved hearts so it is so much fun for me to make a card for Valentine's Day.  Joyce was our hostess this month and I love the image she selected.
The stamped image is Fairy Love by Penny black.  I colored this adorable image with my copic markers and then used my sponge to go around the edges of the white images.  Joyce also challenged us to use this sketch from Mojo Monday #529 for this card.

Thanks to Joyce for a great challenge this month.
