ABC Challenge

Well I am still working on thank you cards and this time I went to ABC Challenges for some inspiration.  Above is the sketch challenge for this week.  Isn't it cute.

Well I had to send a thank you to my sister who is forever a dog lover and this was the card I came up with.  I always keep dog print paper on hand for her cards.  All in all I thought this worked out very well for the challenge.

Friday Sketch Challenge

Over at Friday Sketch Challenge they are having a sketch challenge that looks like this.
Since I am still working on some Thank You cards, I decided to use the sketch for this card.  The image was from a kit I had received in the mail.  I just love Purple Cone flowers and decided to color this image like that.

Thanks to Friday Sketch Challenge for the great inspiration.

Delightful Inspiration Challenge

Birthday is over and thank you cards need to be written.  So I went to Delightful Inspiration - From the Heart and found this cute sketch challenge.

This was my card that I made for the challenge.  I thought this made an adorable thank you card.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge

It is time for another challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  Today's challenge is to use kids in your project and the twist is to use the color yellow.

I had received this image from a friend on another group that I was in and thought it would be perfect for this challenge.  Now you will have to look hard to find the color yellow in my card but it is there.

Leave a comment on where you find the color yellow and I will be drawing a name out of those comments and sending them a special surprise.  Thanks for looking.

Happy Birthday

Another birthday has come and gone for me and I just had to share some of the fantastic birthday cards that I received.  I received over 30 cards in the mail and what fun it has been over the last week to receive such fun birthday cards.  I just had to share some of these fun cards.

Okay these cards were bought but still some cute cards

These cards were from my friends that I have fun with in town.  Each one is so cute.

These cards were from a friend and my niece.  Love them both
These cards were from friends on SCS who are part of a group called BRAK who send out birthday wishes each month.  Each one is so unique.
More cards from BRAK.

These cards were from a special group in SCS that I have been part of for a while.  I have such admiration for these girls.  I have been lucky enough to even meet Vickie and Linda.  Such a fun group.

Hope I didn't miss any but this gives a little inside look as to some of the beautiful cards that I have received.

Twisted Tuesday First Blog Hop

Twisted Tuesday is hosting their first blog hop starting today.  When you participate and post a comment on each Design Team member's blog, you'll be entered into a prize drawing for a Blue Button Stamps prize give away.

The challenge today is to make something girly.  The twist is to make something about friends.  My card was made for a friend of mine (Cass) who joins me in this crazy hobby of scrapbooking.  I used the Stampavie image called "Big Squeeze" that was sent to me from one of my Splitcoast friends, Imke.  I absolutely love this little stamp.  The perfect card for friends.

So back to the blog hop.  We have alot of new members on our Design Team for Twisted Tuesday Challenges and thought the best way to introduce them was to have a blog hop.  Be sure and check out each of the members and comment for a drawing for a prize.  Good Luck!

Raffle Dresdan Plate Quilt

The farmers market in Paola will be starting soon.  There is nothing better than fresh produce.  I love going down there and just browsing through all the vendors.  I always have to buy some fresh pecans and any thing else that might catch my eye.

This year they are going to raffle this quilt that I made and the money will go towards the Miami County Cancer Society.  They are such helpful people as I found out this year when my dad was diagnosed with lymphoma.  The raffle tickets are only $1 and can be purchased there or through me or my sister, Debbi Duncan.

This quilt is a queen size dresdan plate.  Each plate is hand quilted and the rest is machine quilted.

Challenge #17 10 minute craft dash

CD_17

I found this wonderful challenge called the 10 minute craft dash.  This works perfectly for when I need a birthday card pronto.   No matter how I plan, it seems that birthdays always creep up.  I made this birthday card in 3 minutes and 50 seconds.  I guess it goes to show that you don't have to spend alot of time working on your cards to come up with something beautiful.

I started with a cream colored card base.  I then used Stampin Up Pear Pizzazz to stamp the leaves which are from Papertrey Ink Turning a New Leaf.  I then stamped the flower using Stampin Up Calypso Coral Ink which is from the Wplus9 Very Vintage Floral Stamp Set.  I use Papertrey Ink Birthday die and the happy was from Wonderful Words:  Birthday from Papertrey Ink.  I added 3 pearls and had my card.  I was pleased with the way it turned out.

PIP Challenge #2409

I am a little late in posting my card for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2409 .  Our internet was down all day yesterday.  Oh the joys of...
