May Creative Crew

Today is reveal day for our Creative Crew group on Splitcoaststampers.  We are 7  card making friends that met years ago on SCS and formed this fun little group.

Each month once of us will host the challenge.  May was the month I chose to be hostess.  I love flowers of all kinds and May has so many beautiful flowers blooming.  The iris, peonies, magnolia, etc. are just a few that I saw this week on my walk.

In my kit this month I sent the following item:

Images of "Perfect Posy" by Gina K. Designs

Several sheets of Life is Beautiful designer paper by Echo Park

Butterflies for SU Embosslits Beautiful Wings

Misc Gems

I decided to do a fun fold card for my card this month.  I colored the image with my copic markers and started putting the card together.

I'm not sure exactly what this fold is called but I like that it tucks in the triangle on the front of the card.  So fun to put together.

Be sure and check on the links below to see what the other girls came up with.

I hope everyone had fun with the image this month.

PIP Challenge #2519

I had so much fun today for Challenge #2519 over at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges.  Our sponsor this week is Polkadoodles Crafts.  They have so many adorable digital stamps.  I always have a hard time deciding which one to use.

For my first card I am using the image "Love Bird Sign".  I colored the image with my copic markers and came up with this card.  I used a circle die to cut the image out and then I used a MFT Scalloped stitched circle die to go around the circle.  The papers are from I Love crafting by Echo Park.

My next card is from "Gardening Lily Ladybug".  What I love about these stamps are that you can purchase them pre-colored.  So fun.  I am using a pre-colored image on this card.  I am running out of ink in my printer so this really does not give the image justice but it sure makes a sweet card.  The sentiment is from Honey Bee Stamps Be Still.
I hope you stop by Polkadoodles and see all their amazing digital images.  I believe they are still offering a 40% off on printables so act fast and get that image you are looking for.

BYSHC Linky Party

Today is the final day for the BYSHC Linky Party.  I decided to make another Christmas card for my link today.

I always love going to my Christmas stamp collection and pull out a stamp I have never used or haven't used in a long time.

This was a wooden stamp by Stamps Happen called Chickadee.  I had so much fun coloring it with my copic markers.  The paper I used is from Dear Santa by Carta Bella.  The sentiment is from Pink Fresh called Christmas Banners.

Thanks to BYSHC for another great linky party.

BYSH Card Hop

Well I am a little late in participating in the BYSH Cardmakers Spring into Christmas Hop.  I guess better late than not at all.

This is always such a fun hop to participate in and you can get some great ideas to make your Christmas cards.  It is never too early to start on your cards.

This was a Polkadoodles digital image I have had for a while.  I think it might of been a freebie of the month.  They have so many fun digital images.  If you don't like to color, they have precolored images where you can print any size and make into a card.  It doesn't get any easier.

Thanks so much for all of those individuals involved in the BYSH Cardmakers Spring Into Christmas Linky Party.

Challenge Your Stash

I know yesterday was the 28th of the month but I had design team obligations set for yesterday.  This month was my turn as a hostess to pick a challenge.  Since April 28 is National Pet Parents day I thought I would go with a pet theme and ask everyone to post a card with their favorite pet.

I have had many pets in my life growing up in the country.  Dogs, cats, horses you name it.  For the last 18 years I have had 2 ginger kitties that I adopted at the local pet shelter.  Unfortunately, I lost Reggie in October 2024.  I still have Rocky but he definitely is slowing down.

They were brothers and you would always find them together.  Rocky is my quilting helper, always looking for loose threads.
So of course I went with a Newton's Nook Designs stamp set for my card this month.
The stamp set I used was Newton's Birdbath which I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Copic Friendly paper and colored the images with copic markers.  I found a scrap of cloud paper and used the grass die from MFT.

I hope everyone enjoyed National Pet Parent Day and gave their fur babies a little extra hug.

PIP Challenge #2517

This week Pammies Imky Pinkies Challenges is sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

Their images are so fun to play with because I get to use my scan and cut for these files.
The card I made is a shaped card from the Sweet Summer Treats Shaped cards set.  I thought this would be a fun card to make because with the warmer weather I always love ice cream.  I cut out the pieces with my scan n cut and then put them all together.  The sentiments are from the same stamp set.  For the inside of the card I cut the sentiment out in a square and a larger square to go around it.

You can still use these fun stamp if you don't have a Scan n cut machine.  You can easily print the shapes and fussy cut them out.  Give it a try.  Thanks to the Cutting Cafe for sponsoring us this week.

Creative Crew

The 15th of the month sure rolled around quickly.  This means it is time for our Creative Crew Group to post their cards.

Our challenge this month was from Jeanette to use our favorite stamp set.  That is hard for me because I love them all.  Most of you know that I love Newton's Nook Designs so I just went to my stash and picked out one I haven't used in a while.

The stamp set I used for this card is Newton's Birthday Balloons.  This set is actually on sale right now.  For inspiration for my card I went to Inky Paws Challenge  and noticed they had a color challenge.
I stamped the image off and then colored it with my copic markers.  I then used the matching dies to cut it out.  The designer papers are from Echo Park called It's Easter Time.  I used a few gems on the card to give it some sparkle.  Be sure and check out the rest of the design team to see what they created.

I am entering my card in the Inky Paws Challenge this week.  Such fun colors to play with.

Thanks to Jeanette for a great challenge this week.

PIP Challenge #2515

This weeks challenge for Pammies Inky Pinkies is being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.

I absolutely love Lawn Fawn stamps because you can create such fun scenes with the images.  For my card today I am using the stamp set Sew Very Mice.
I had so much fun creating this card.  I started out using the waffle flower embroidery hoop die and cross sticked a pink heart on dotted paper for the center.  I then colored several of the images from the Sew Very Mice stamp set and using the matching die cuts to cut them out.  I then placed then on to the card at different areas.

I will be sending this card to a very special friend that likes to sew.  I'm sure she will enjoy it.

PIP Challenge #2513

We have a fun challenge this week over at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges. Since this is the 3rd Monday of the month we will have challenge #2513 sponsored by PIP Challenges. The theme is Rain.

The prize will be a $10 Gift Certificate from

I had fun making my card for this challenge.
I started my card by layering a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 navy cardstock on my folded card base.  I then took a raindrop cutting plate and cut a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of white cardstock.  I then sponged the whole sheet with Distress Oxide Broken China.  After layering this on the navy cardstock, I cut the MFT Slimline Grassy Hills out of green cardstock and distressed the edges and put at bottom of card.  I added the Lil Inker Sun die at the top along with the sentiment and image from Newtons Nook Rainy Day.

I hope you join us over at PIP Challenges for our challenge this week.

Challenge Your Stash

Today is our day to post our cards for our Challenge Your Stash Group on Splitcoaststampers.  Barb challenged us to make a fun fold card and use the color green.

I loved this challenge because I am a fan of fun fold cards.  I'm not sure what this is called but I basically added a folded front.  The patterned paper I used is Stitched with Love from P13.  I found an embossed folder by Cuttlebug for the lighter green and decided to use it.  The stamp set for the leaves and sentiment from Stampin Up called Simply Sketched.  I used Mossy Meadow stampin up ink for the stamping part of the card.

This is the inside of the card once you open it up.  What a fun challenge this month.  Thank go out to Barb for coming up with this challenge.

PIP Challenge #2511

We are so lucky to have Polkadoodles as our sponsor this week for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2511.

I am always excited to make a card using Polkadoodles images.  They are so fun to work with.  For my first card I am using Easter Basket Chick.

I printed off the image and colored it with my copic markers.  If you are not a fan of coloring, Polkadoodles offers an image pre-colored.  Makes it easy.  The designer paper I used is I's Easter Time by Echo Park.  I used a scallop square die for the background of the die.

I had so much fun with Polkadoodles images that I made another Easter card using Happy Easter Chick.

For this card I took a piece of white cardstock 4 x 5 1/4" and used the MFT Cloud Stencil using Distress Oxide China Blue.  I then added the grass using MFT Slimline Grassy Hills Die.  I sponged a little bit of SU Old Olive Ink around the edges of the grass.  I printed the image and then colored it with my copic markers.  The sun is a die from Lil Inker.

I sure had fun making these Easter cards.  Be sure and check out Polkadoodles store for some amazing Digital images.

Creative Crew March 2025

I can't believe the 15th of March is here already.  I am enjoying the warmer weather and seeing some tulips pop up.  Barb and Jeanette came up with our challenge this month for our us.  They decided on a sketch and color challenge which I love.  The color challenge from Barb is:

The sketch challenge from Jeanette is:
So I had some fun with these 2 challenges.  For my card I used Sips & Stories from Newtons Nook.  The designer paper is from Whimsy called Rainbows.  Since I love to read, I thought this would make the perfect card for the challenge.

I hope you check out the rest of the design team to see what they came up with for this challenge.

Thanks girls for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #2509

Time for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2509.  We are lucky enough to have Star Stampz as our sponsor this week.  She has a wonderful shop in etsy.  Please check out her adorable images.

For my card I decided to use the stamp "Spring Rain".

I printed off the image on my printer and then colored it with my copic markers.  The papers I used are Flora No 3 by Carta Bella.  The sentiment is from Stamp Up Petitie Pairs.  I used a scallop oval on the pink paper.  I added a few gems to give it some dimension.

Now I hope this card brings us lots of spring weather.  Last week was in the 60s which is perfect for me this time of year.

Challenge Your Stash

This month sure seems to roll around quickly.  Since today is the 28th, it means it is time for our Challenge Your Stash group.  Our hostess this month is Suzy and she chose Valentine's day as a theme.  She challenged us to make a card about love or friendship.

For my card I decided to make a Valentines card.  I went to one of my favorite Stampin Up sets called "From The Heart".  I think this was one of the first stamp sets I bought in 1999 and I still love it.  I stamped the dog, cat, bird and girl and then colored them with my copic markers.  I then used my Brother Scan n cut to cut the images out.  The heart rectangle is a cutting die Rectangle Shape by Studio Light.  The paper is "Hello Valentine" by Echo Park.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom Heart Wreath.  So you can see I used alot of different elements on this card.

Thanks to Suzy for a great theme this month.

PIP Challenge #2507

Time for another challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges.  Our challenge this month is being sponsored by Varada Sharma.

I love Varada Sharma stamps because she has so many florals and I love coloring florals.  I decided to make 2 cards for my post this week because I was having so much fun with the images.

The first image is called "Wild Flowers".  I colored the images with my copic markers and then used my Scan n cut to cut the image out with.  The designer paper I used for the card is Bee Happy by Echo Park.  I love the black background because I thought it made the image pop.

The second image I used was "Comforting Thoughts".  It seems like I never have enough Sympathy cards so this one was fun to color and then I chose a simple layout for the card.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The Designer paper is from "Flora" by Carta Bella.

I hope you check out Varada Sharma Stamps because they are so versatile and fun to play with.

Creative Crew February 2025

Well it is posting day for our Creative Crew group on Splitcoaststampers.  Carol is our hostess this month and I love the image she chose for our challenge.  I am getting so tired of cold weather so a little humor is nice.  Our theme for February is "Spunky February Babes" (aka S.O.B.).  Their slogan is "ladies are like fine wine, we get better with age".  This month we celebrate women who are intelligent, confident, not afraid to speak their mind or reinvent themselves.  As we age, we don't get as much recognition as we did when we were younger but we are the same if not better.  So we are showing a little spunk in our cards this month.

The image is from Rubbernecker and the sentiment is from Dylusions.  The Designer paper is from The Paper Studio "Pretty as a Poppy".

I colored up the fun image and then put it on the designer paper.  I cut out the sentiment and just put it on the side.  I like it crooked, makes it even more spunky.  You can see what the rest of the team did by clicking on their name below.  Thanks Carol for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #2505

Today we have a new challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges.  This week's sponsor is Lawn Fawn.

I am a true lover of Lawn Fawn Stamps.  What I love about these stamps is that you can create quite the story using all the little images.  For my card today I am using the stamp set "Berry Special".

I just love strawberries and mice images and fell in love with this stamp set.  I started out by coloring the images with my copic markers.  I then created a story by placing the images on the card.  I used a MFT Scallop circle for the white and then placed the different images in the circle.  The sentiment was made using white embossing powder.

Be sure and check out all the fun stamp sets at Lawn Fawn.  Always fun to play with.

PIP Challenges #2503

Well 2025 sure came in with a cold spell here in Kansas.  I sure hope that this is it for cold weather and snow.  Today I am posting a card I made for Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenge #2503.  This week our sponsor is Whimsy Stamps.

For my card today I decided to use the stamp set Doggie Birthday Party and the background paper is Rainbow by Whimsy.
I stamped the adorable dog images and then colored them with my copic markers.  I then fussy cut them out and placed them on the rainbow paper.  The die I used for the background paper is Dotted Scallop Rectangles by Elizabeth Craft Designs.

I know exactly where this card is going.  I have a sister who has a birthday in February and she is dog crazy so it will be perfect.

Thanks again to Whimsy Stamps for sponsoring PIP Challenges this week.

Creative Crew

I am so excited for my post today for our Creative Crew group on Splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess this month is Darlene and she selected an adorable image for our challenge this month.

The image she selected is You Are So Loved by Gina K Designs.  I love the small little images because they are so fun to color. The red cardstock in the background is made by using "Cross My Heart" embossing older by Spellbinders. I used the waffle flower postage collage die with a piece of holographic cardstock by Pink & main as my background for these cute images.  I had some scraps of simply vintage my valentine to cut to put as background pieces for the images.  The red hearts were made with Simon Hurley's Bee Sting Lunar Paste applied with a heart stencil by Gina K Designs.

The images were all colored with my copic markers.  I then just placed them on to the squares using pop dots.  I was having so much fun that I used more images for the inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my card.  Be sure and click on the names below to see what they did for the challenge.

PIP Challenge #2501

Happy 2025.  I can't believe 2024 went by to quickly.  We are sitting in the aftermath of a huge snowstorm here in Kansas.  Ugh.  I believe we got 10-12 inches of snow in the last 24 hours.  The only good thing is that I was able to sit inside and work on different projects that I had started.

For this weeks challenge at Pammies Inky Pinkies Challenges our sponsor is Polkadoodles.

With all the snow outside and frigid weather I decided to think warmer and start counting down the days until spring.  I am not a fan of winter and normally we have pretty average temperatures in the winter.  I sure hope this isn't a sign that the rest of our winter will be like this.

I decided to make 2 cards for the challenge this week.

For my first card I am using an image from the Spring Has Sprung bundle at Polkadoodles.  I love foxes to if I can find an image with a fox on it, I want to color it and make a card.  I printed the image and then colored it with my copic markers.  I used a scalloped oval die the cut the image out with.

For my second card I am using "Butterfly Flowerpots".  I printed off the image on my printer and colored the image with my copic markers.  The sentiment is from Newtons Nook called Floral Fringe.  The designer paper on both cards is Simple Stories Simple Vintage Meadow Flowers.

So I sure hope these spring cards get us all in the mood for a little warmer weather.  Thanks to Polkadoodles for starting 2025 out with a bang for PIP Challenges.
