Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for our Challenge Your Stash group at Splitcoaststampers.  Jeanette is our hostess this month and her theme was to create a card with the theme of summer vacation.  I looked through my stamps and thought a beach theme would be fun.

The stamp set I used is Hello Summer by Photoplay.  I stamped the images off and colored them with my copic markers.  I then fussy cut them out and placed them on my scene.  I used some wave paper (I realized later it was upside down) for the background.  The sand is a piece of tan paper torn and sponged with vintage photo distress ink.  The sun is a lil inker die that I use often.  I then stamped the sentiment in the upper left hand corner.

Thanks to Jeanette for a great challenge.

Inky Paws Challenge

They are having a fun challenge over at Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge.  It is a color challenge which is always fun.

I just love these colors.  They are so pretty together.  For my card I decided to go with the stamp set "Coffee Delights".  Who doesn't love a good cup of coffee?

I stamped the image on a piece of white cardstock that was cut to 3.5 x 5 inches and colored it with my copic markers.  I used a piece of blue designer paper from Ink Drops - Candy by Craft Consortium for the background of the image.  I added 3 gems to the card as a little splash.

Thanks to Newtons Nook for providing inspiration for my card this week.  Be sure and check out this months Inky Paws Challenge to see what other people created for this challenge.

PIP Challenge #2529

Time again for another challenge from Pammies Inky Pinkies.  This week is being sponsored by Gina K Designs.

I had fun deciding which Gina K Design stamp set to use for my card today.  Since I am needing a few masculine cards, I decided to use the set "Mr Fix it".  To me this is the perfect set to use for a masculine card.
I stamped off the images and used the matching dies to cut them out.  I then colored them with my copic markers.  The background of the card is brown card stock using the sizzix wood grain embossing folder and then brushed with Gina K Designs Cinnamon Ink.  I used a spellbinders nesting die for the gray background and a piece of the green designer paper.  The happy birthday sentiment is "Celebration words" dies by sizzix.  I decided to do the sentiment at an angle.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with for the challenge this month.

Creative Crew

Happy July to all.  It is hot in Kansas but what can we expect for July. Since it is the 15th of the month this means it is time for our Creative Crew Challenge.  The theme is perfect this month because we can all relate to it.  The theme is "Crafts" selected by Barb.  This is perfect timing since I have 5 weekends of crafting crops coming up.

The stamp set is "Gus & Gertie - Get Crafty from Taylored Expressions.  The image was stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black on Neenah Classic Crest Solar White paper.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The patterned paper is from Stamp Up "Follow Your Art".  I colored the image with my copic markers and pop dotted them on to the adorable paper.

This was such a fun image to color and make a card with.  I have the perfect friend to send this to.  Be sure and check out the rest of the team to see what they did with this image.

PIP Challenge #2527

Happy July.  In Kansas we are in a warm spell.  Hopefully we will get some rain this week to cool things down and give our plants some water.

Today is Challenge #2527 for Pammies Inky Pinkies.  This week is being sponsored by Lawn Fawn which I am sure we all love.  I just love their stamps and it is so fun to create a scene with them.

For my card today I decided to use my stamp set "Little Woodland Library"  I am an avid book reader so this stamp set really caught my eye.
I stamped off the images and then fussy cut them out.  They also have a matching die set if fussy cutting is not your thing.  I then created my background with the papers I found in my stash.  I love using up my scraps.  I also stamped off the sentiment and added it to the top and bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.  I hope you check out the other cards at Pammies Inky Pinkies and join us this week for the challenge.
