Challenge Your Stash

I can't believe how fast the month of August has gone.  It brings us to the 28th of the month which means it is time to Challenge My Stash.  I love this group on Splitcoaststampers because they always come up with some great challenges.  Suzy was our hostess this month and she came up with a great challenge of "Sunflowers".  Since it is the state flower of Kansas, I seem to have alot of sunflower stamps.  The sunflowers are in full bloom here in Kansas and looking beautiful.

The stamp I used for my card is "Power Poppy In Praise of Sunflowers".  I used my copic markers to color the image.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I used the Spellbinders Nested Postage Labels die  on the blue paper.  The background yellow is So Saffron by Stampiin Up.  I also added a few Pink Fresh Gems and a brown twine bow.

Thanks again for Suzy for a great challenge this month.

Inky Paws Challenge

It is terribly hot here so I have decided to start on some Christmas cards.  I never seem to have enough.  I went over to Newtons Nook Inky Paws Challenge for some inspiration.  Their challenge this week is a color challenge.

I thought it would be fun to take these colors and make them in to Christmas colors.

I matched up the colors in the picture above with my copic markers and colored these cute snowmen from a retired stamp set called Frosty Folks.  I am sad it is no longer in Newtons Nook inventory.  But there are several cute snowman stamps to pick from on their site.

So one more Christmas card done.  Thanks to Inky Paws Challenge for helping me with some inspiration to get me started.

PIP Challenge #2433

This weeks challenge over at Pammies Inky Pimkies is being sponsored by one of my favorite stamp companies.  Newtons Nook Designs always have such adorable stamps and dies.

                                                                 Newton

For my card this week I decided to use the "Lilac" stamp set.  Lilacs are my favorite flower and I decided this would be the perfect stamp to play with.

I colored the images with my copic markers and then used the matching dies to cut them out.  The designer paper I used was from The Sunflower collection of Crafters Companion.  I used a scalloped rectangle die for the purple background and the center green is from the Oval Frames Die Set by Newton's Nook Designs.  I then added a few gems on the corners of the card and the butterflies from the same Lilac stamp set.

Be sure and check out Newton's Nook Designs for some wonderful card ideas.

Creative Crew

This months challenge for our Creative Crew group comes from Jeanette.  What a great theme for the summer.  It's Hot! and the best thing to do in the summer is grill.  So this months' theme is Summertime Grillin.

This adorable image comes from CC Designs called BBQ.  It is stamped with Hero Arts Intense Black Ink on Accent Opaque 120# White Cardstock and colored with my copic markers.

The designer paper is Reminisce Camping Cookout.

I colored the image and then cut the square out.  I added the jagged square die and put the sentiment at the bottom of the card.  I added a few gems on the corners.

You can see what the rest of the team did with this challenge by clicking on their link below.

Jeanette wanted us to share something that I like to grill.  I am not a big griller because we only have an electric grill.  Anything else is not allowed in our development.  But I do love grilled salmon if I can find someone to grill it.

PIP Challenge #2431

Today's challenge over at Pammies Inky Pinkies is being sponsored by The Cutting Cafe.

It is always fun to see what we can come up with the files we are sent from The Cutting Cafe.  For my card today I decided to use the set "Under the Sea".

I printed off a few of the images on my printer and then colored them with my copic markers.  I decided to use some fun colors on my fish.    I used a circle die to cut out the fish image and then a larger circle die for the black cardstock.  I fussy cut the other images and placed it on my card.

Thanks to The Cutting Cafe for sponsoring us this week.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
