Challenge Your Stash

Since today is the 28th, that means it is time to post my creation for our "Challenge Your Stash" group on Splitcoaststampers.  So just like the title says, we are to find something in our stash to make a card.  Sue is our hostess for the month of April and her challenge was to make an Earth Day card in honor of Earth Day on April 22.  I have to admit that this challenge had me stumped.  She said to think about all things that make this earth beautiful.  Well that has endless possibilities.  Of course I put off to making my card until yesterday because I was so torn on which stamp set to use.  Ocean, flowers, trees, etc. came to mind but since I waited until the last minute to make the card I thought I had better go with a simple card.

I really wanted to use a stamp set of the world and would you believe it, I don't have one.  HA!  And I thought I had every stamp possibility in my inventory.  So I went online and found this beautiful free digital image of the earth and cut it out with a circle die.  For the background of the card, I use "Summer Silhouettes" greenery stamp and stamped it all around using Pear Pizazz and Old Olive Stampin up colors.  The sentiment was typed on the computer.  So hopefully the stamp I used will count for challenging my stash.

April 22 is Earth Day, my challenge is to make an Earth Day card. Think about all the things that make this earth beautif

PIP Challenge #2217

It is getting to feel a bit more like spring here in the Midwest.  I am enjoying seeing all the trees blooming and flowers ready to bloom.  My favorite time of the year.

This week for PIP Challenge #2217 is being sponsored by Cas-ual Fridays Stamps.  They have such a fun store and you should check out their blog also because there are some great tutorials on there.

I used the Everyday Dragon Flies stamp for my card today.  I noticed that the stamp is on sale right now so if you like it, grab it now.  It is such a fun stamp and makes for a quick card.
I started with a sheet of paper from Rainbows by Whimsy Stamps and then stamped several of the dragonflies on to the card.  There are several sentiments that come with the stamp set and I chose to make this a birthday card.  I also added black enamel dots to give the card a little extra.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please join us over at PIP Challenges and submit your card.  I love seeing all the entries.

Dueling Darlings

The 15th sure rolled around quickly this month.  But this means I need to post my card for our Dueling Darlings Challenge.  Terry and Darlene were our hostesses this month and their theme for the challenge this month was Holograms.

For my card I used the following from the kit that Darlene sent me:
Pink & Main's Holographic Set 2 papers
Die Cuts with Altenew's Fin Frames Diamonds Die Set
Say It with Stamps by Beck Moore - Photoplay
Gems from The Paper Studio
Rainbow sparkly ribbon from Merchant 41

I colored the image with copic markers trying my hand at a rainbow color for the balloons.  I then put on some glossy accents to give it a shine.  I fussy cut the sentiment and added it to the bottom of the card.

I can't wait to see what everyone else came up with for this challenge.  You can check them all out by clicking on their links below.

PIP Challenge #2215

Today I am making a fun card for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge #2215This week is being sponsored by Lawn Fawn.

I am a big fan of Lawn Fawn Stamps.  Probably because they always have cute adorable figures in their stamp sets.
For my card I used the stamp set "Berry Special".  I absolutely love Strawberries so when I saw this adorable stamp set, I knew it had to be mine.  I started by taping off a section of a piece of white cardstock and stenciled some clouds in the background.  I then colored all my images with copic markers and used the matching dies to but them out.  I used white embossing powder on black cardstock for the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by to check out by card.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
