PIP Challenge #2205

I am so excited about our Challenge #2205 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  This week is being sponsored by one of my favorite stamp companies.  Newton's Nook Designs  I am the owner of 2 orange kitties so this stamp company has always had a special place in my heart.  They are just the nicest people also.  There is an extra piece to the challenge this week and it is "Sunshine".

                                                          Newton

I was also excited this week because I got to use one of my favorite stamps sets from Newton's Nook Designs called Woodland Spring.  I just love all the adorable animals.

I first colored all the animals with my copic markers and then used the matching dies to cut them out.  For the background I stenciled clouds and then rays of sunshine.  The grass at the bottom is a lawn fawn die.

So I can't wait to see everyone's Sunshine cards this week.

I would like to enter my card in the following challenges:

Challenge Your Stash

I'm really not sure how the 28th rolled around so quickly.  But today is our day to post our project for the challenge your stash group on splitcoaststampers.  Our hostess today is Jennifer Lewis and her challenge theme for us is "I have a dream".  Well I pulled out a couple of stamps that I have been wanting to use and came up with this card.

The butterflies are from a Stampin Up Stamp and matching die set from Floating and Fluttering.  I stamped the butterflies first and then used the matching die to cut them out.  The Cutout on the inside is also with that die set along with the border stamp around the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Wise Women by The Project Bin.

A few things I would of done different would be to leave the orange border on and stamp the sentiment on it without cutting the center out.  The white seems too dramatic.  I also would of pop dotted the butterflies so the would stand out a little more.  Oh well that will be my next card.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks To Jennifer for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenge #2203

Happy Monday.  Not sure where the time goes but the weeks just seem to fly by.  Today I have a fun card for our Challenge #2203 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Today our challenge is being sponsored by SheepSkiDesigns.

For my card I used the Peonies Stamp.   I always love floral stamps and this one was so fun to color.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then cut it out with my Brother Scan n Cut.  I thought it would be fun to make a square card for this image.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Simple Strips Background stamp set.  I stamped it with versamark on black cardstock and then used white embossing powder.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Dueling Darlings 2

Did you know that today is National Strawberry Ice Cream Day?  I wonder if I could go outside and gather some of the newly fallen snow and make snow ice cream.  Did you ever do that as a kid?

January 15 starts a new round with the first Duel as a Dueling Darlings 2 group.  Kelly and Jeanette were our hostesses this month and came up with the fun challenge.

The image I used for my card is Colorado Crafty Company Ice Cream Day Mini stamped on Neenah 110# Solar White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  The designer paper is Bella Blvd Freshly Picked.  The green ribbon is from American Crafts.  I love the fun oriental Trading strawberry brad that I was able to add to my card.  The flowers are from Prima.

Thanks Jeanette and Kelly for a great challenge.

Butterfly Kisses

I am in a group on Splitcoaststampers called the Monthly Image Swap.  I love it because I never know what the hostess will use as our image for the month.  This month our hostess is Imke who is our moderator on the swap.

Imke chose this beautiful image from Simon Says Stamp called Butterfly Kisses.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then cut out the heart and added the sentiments.  The background papers are from Echo Park called Summer Days.

I am a real fan of butterflies so this was so much fun for me.  Thanks Imke for a great challenge this month.

PIP Challenges

2022 brings more exciting challenges from Pammie's Inky Pinky Challenges.  I am so fortunate to be on the design team for this great group.  I know Pam has been working very hard behind the scenes in setting up our challenges for 2022.  I appreciate all the work she puts in to this.

Challenge #2201 is being sponsored by Jan's Digital Stamps.

For my card today I am using a rose from Jan's Rose stamp set.
I printed off the rose and colored it with my copic markers.  I then cut it out with my Brother Scan n cut.  What I love about the Scan n cut is than you can increase the size and make a beautiful outline which is what I did for the black outline on the rose.  The sentiment also comes from the Rose Stamp set.

Be sure and check out Jan's Digital Stamps store because her valentine stamps are on sale which includes the rose set.

Happy 2022

Another year has arrived.  I have to admit I was asleep by 9:30 and did not see the new year come in.  Guess that is old age talking.

I have decided on my motto for 2022 and it is Choose Kindness for many reasons.  I think if everyone would do a Random Act of Kindness each week they would be rewarded with a wonderful feeling and also help someone out in need.  If you need ideas, I found this 100 Daily Acts of Kindness.  Just pick one a week and see how it makes you feel.

Check back on Monday because we start our new challenges for PIP Challenges.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
