Today I am sharing a project that I am using for a Christmas
gift. This really shows how versatile
the digital images are. I am using one
of my favorite Christmas images from Meljen’s Designs called Christmas Star Snowman. He is so adorable and I have
used this stamp in so many different sizes. I also used the Merry Christmas Word Art from Meljen's Designs also. Seemed to be the perfect fit for the holder.
For this gift card holder, I started with a piece of red
cardstock cut 4” x 11”. You then score
the long pieces at 2 ½ and 6 ¾.
I folded over the red cardstock at the 2 ½ scored line. I then took one of my 2 ½” circle dies and
cut the circle out placing it off center.
For the designer paper pieces I cut the green sheets 2” x 3
¾” and ¾” x 3 ¾”. I cut the striped
paper 1 ¾” x 3 ½” and ½” x 3 ½”. I used the large Stampin Up scallop punch, 1 3/4" circle punch red card stock and then I cut the image out with a 1 1/2" circle punch. I colored the image with my copic markers and added stickles to make the image pop.
Once you cut the center out of the card, you will easily see where to place the scallop circle with the image.
In the inside, I used the retired slit punch from Stampin Up to hold the gift card in place. This was such a fun project and perfect for the holidays.Remember that Meljen's Designs is having their 50% off sale until December 15. Check the store out today because she has added several new images and why not get them while they are on sale.
