New Home Card

My sister recently moved in to a new house in Texas so I decided to make her a house warming card.  I had purchased a new stamp set from Papertrey Ink called "Summer Hills" which I instantly fell in love with because of the quilt designs.
I colored the quilt blocks with my copics and love the vibrant colors.  The picture itself was cut out using a PTI die.

Hope my sister enjoys the card.  Sure was fun to make.

Imagine That Challenge #11

I really love digital images.  They are so easy to work with and the storage issue is not a problem.  I purchased this cute image from Imagine That.  It is called sweet tea.  Perfect timing for me since I needed to send out an anniversary card this week.
I used my copic markers to color the birds and tea cup.  Such a sweet image.  Be sure and check out Kris other digital images.  They are so cute.

Your Next Stamp

Your Next Stamp is looking for new Design Team members for their new Digital Line.  Since I am a huge fan of digital images, I thought I would apply.  My house is full of stamps and I find that the digitals are the way to conserve on space and they are to versatile with sizing.  It is limitless what you can do with a digital stamp.

The hardest problem I had with submitting my application for this Design Team was to list 3 of my favorite projects.  That is like picking your favorite child.  Very hard to do.
This cowgirl will have to be my current all time favorite card.  I absolutely love this image.  So adorable.
This was a calendar I made with an acrylic frame that I made for my nieces rabbit show auction.  This was a digital image from Angels Landing.  I just love any kind of animal.
This last card I picked was a House Mouse.  Of course another animal card.

I really enjoy working with my copic markers.  It reminds me of when I was a child and how I loved to color.

So now I'm off to do a little more creating.

Twisted Tuesday Challenge

The challenge today over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges is in honor of Melina's daughter who is having a birthday.  Melina's daughter likes the color pink so with this challenge we are to use the color pink and the twist is to make it an outdoor theme since she likes to play outside.

In my card I decided that every girl would like a pink bicycle riding it among the pink flowers.  Iused the CL255 Riding Pretty Impression Obsession stamp set for the bicycle and sentiment.  I love this stamp set because you can put all different things in the basket.
Be sure and check out what the other design team members did for this fun challenge.  Be prepared to see some pink.

Watercolor Card

This was another fun card I did using Papertrey Ink Floral Stamp Set.  I stamped the image on watercolor paper and then I stamped with by versamark and used clear embossing powder.  I was then able to go around the image with my copic marker and then a water filled brush to expand out the surrounding color.
I still want to try this again and perfect my shading.

Honors Gallery Card 2

Well I have to admit that I got a little sidetracked and didn't get my cards posted from the DTGD challenges on SCS.  I have been having too much fun working on different projects and trying new techniques.

This was a technique called crayon resist.  The tutorial can be seen HERE on Splitcoast Stampers.  This is where I got my idea.  There is another great tutorial on Papertrey Ink HERE.

The Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink and I used a spellbinder die for the black border and the sentiment.  This was definitely a fun card.  I love trying different kinds of techniques.
I tried another technique on my next card that was selected to be in the SCS Honors Gallery.  It is a watercolor clean emboss technique.  Be sure and check back.

Honors Gallery at Splitcoast Stampers

What a week it has been with taking on the DTGD challenges at Splitcoast Stampers.  What fun it has been.  I never dreamed I would be able to do 42 cards in one week.  Each day there were 6 different challenges that you had no idea about.  Boy did I get to go out of my comfort zone on a few.  Surprisingly enough I didn't have to buy anything.  Had it all just sitting around in my little craft area.

I was excited when I was contacted by the SCS team to say that 3 of my cards made it to the honors gallery.  I believe that there were over 2000 cards submitted during this week.  Each hostess of the challenge was to pick their favorites and it would go in to the honor gallery.  I was honored to have 3 cards selected to go in this gallery.  This is the first card that was selected.

The challenge on this card was to use a die cut.  I decided to keep it very simple.  I used my Memory Box Darla butterfly die for this card.  Simple but elegant.

I also found out that I won a $25 gift certificate to Verve Stamps. I have always loved their stamps and know I am going to have shopping there.

I hope to post my other 2 cards in the days to come.

Think Fall

It is another beautiful cool day here in Kansas.  We have been getting lots of rain which I don't mind because it keeps me inside being creative.  I decided to accept the challenge over at Sparkles Monthly Challenges and make a fall card.  The challenge was to use fall colors.

Fall is my favorite season.  I love the colors of fall, the smell in the air, a slight chill to be had and best of all I love the fall craft shows.  I get to sample all my favorite foods from walking tacos, kettle corn, caramel apples and other great treats.

Have a great day and check back because I have lots of things to post because I just completed the DTGD challenge over at SCS and made 42 cards in one week.  Now that was a challenge.

Twisted Tuesday Challenges

Well it's time for another challenge over at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.  The challenge this week was to make a Christmas card and the twist was that it needed to be Clean and Simple.
This is a die from Memory Box.  It sure made for a very easy Christmas Card.  Now I only have to make 45 more.  Yikes!  Christmas will be here before you know it.

Be sure and check out some of the other great creations at Twisted Tuesday Challenges.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
