Gifts

When my friends came up from Oklahoma I made them a few cute little gifts to give to them as a Welcome to Kansas.

This was a water bottle that I added a crystal light package to.
Here was a little pen and pad set. The Stamping didn't show up very well but it is one of my favorite Stampin Up sets.
This was a little chapstick holder that I made.
And a tea bag holder
and a tic tac holder.

Isn't this card adorable. I love the colors that Suzanne Dean used in making this card. I hope my shading will be half this good some day. I sure enjoy trying.

Here was a card that Suzanne Dean made and was kind enough to share at our copics class on Saturday. I love the snow in the window which was a shaker card. What a beautiful Christmas Card.

Wonderful Day

Add Image
Today I went to Scrapbook Page and took a copics class taught by Suzanne Dean. What a wonderful class it was. Suzanne was a wonderful instructor and I learned so much. Now I just need to practice.
I also met up with Debra and Linda who were from Oklahoma and we met through Splitcoast Stampers. I have never met such warm individuals and we immediately have a great friendship. I had alot of fun showing them craft shops in the area. (For those of you that know me well, you know that I am a frequent flyer at all these shops).
I was lucky enough to have a friend in the row in front of us to take our picture.
Here is a picture of Debra getting some instruction from Suzanne. We all got individual attention which was fantastic. I came home and told my husband that I could do this every day. It was one of the best days I have had in a long time.

It is so special to meet people with the same passion you have and to form friendships around the states. Thanks to Debra and Linda for being such great friends.

I will be posting some pictures of cards throughout the week that Suzanne made that will give us all some inspiration. I realize that I need to practice, practice and practice.

September Image Challenge

This is the card that I made for our September Image Challenge. The cute stamp is "In the Window Harvest" by Lockhart. I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils and colored in the image and used Gamasol to blend. The leaves and acorns is a punch that interlocks. They were so much fun. The background paper is from PTI fall set which I just love. It was sent to me by my secret sister.

Be sure and check out the other cards HERE. There are some very talented people in this group.

Halloween card #4

This was my last card of the halloween set that I was able to finish up. I had seen somewhere on SCS that they had done a faux pinwheel card so I decided to give it a try. I used another embossed background to give the card some texture.

Halloween card #3

This was the 3rd card I made with my halloween set. You will notice a theme with my cards. They all have orange cats in them. Guess that comes from living with 2 of them. I used the basket weave embossing folder for the background. Another fun card.

Halloween Card #2

This is card #2 that I made with my kit. These images have the cutest personalities. I believe a mouse would scare my cats. They are not really hunters, unless it is a tiny spider.

The Happy Halloween sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

2011 Halloween Cards

Today was a beautiful day outside here but I decided to play in my scrap room. Angela (Just Monkeying Around) sent me this wonderful halloween card kit with all kinds of fun things in the kit. One of my favorites was the spiderweb die. She sent me 2. I just love those and going to have to find me one of those. She sent me some fluffle images and I went to town with my copics. This is the first card I made.

Card Candy for PTI Swap

This was the last of my items for the Papertrey Ink swap. This is called card candy. It is a set that you would use to make a card. I used the ric rack die, pennant die, flower, and mat collection die from Papertrey Ink. I think you could make up a card very fast with these elements.

This is yet another card for a Papertrey Ink swap that I am doing. I had won this button stamp set from Papertrey Ink and I just love it. The doily is from Stampin Up. I know I am going to have fun with this stamp set.

Sympathy Card

This was another card that I made for a swap. It had to be a fancy fold card. It seems like I have needed sympathy cards alot lately so I thought I would make some for this challenge.

I used the "Botanical Silhouettes" stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I got the pattern for this card at Connie Babbert's blog. She gives you all the dimensions on her blog.

Happy Harvest Card

I just love this card because it reminds of fall festivals, great food and a chill in the air. I made this card for a card swap. They theme was autumn splendor. The basket was a die cut from Papertrey Ink. I know I am going to have all kinds of fun with this set.

Coffee Card

I made this card as a thank you for a secret sister who sent me the coffee mug stamp set from Papertrey Ink. I just love the set. Of course I haven't found much at PTI that I didn't like. LOL!

I have been crafting like mad so I finally have lots to post. Be sure and check back because I have projects for every day this week that I am going to post.

I hope everyone has a great Labor Day.

Creative Crew

This month's theme for our Creative Crew group comes from Terry and her theme is Thanks Snow Much.  What a fun theme but I hope this do...
