Thank You Notes

I needed a couple thank you cards and used the extra card candy I had made previously for a swap on PTI. The peach color is Melon Berry from PTI. They went together quickly.

Happy Memorial Day

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. It is the time to remember our military and all our loved ones. I have taken a small break from card making and have been spending time at my sewing machine. I decided to use some scraps and make a quilt to keep on my dining room table. Well then I decided to make a table runner to match. This is a picture of my helper and I will post again after the quilt is completed.

May 2011 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

I created this birthday card for my niece for the Papertrey Ink May challenge. The challenge was to see what your favorite take on flowers was.

Since one of my passions is sewing I decided to make this fabric flower which consisted of 5 two inch squares. I then used the Flower Fusion #1 die cut with red felt as my center.

The leaf was from The Masculine Motifs stamp set along with the dragonfly that I stamped on the inside of the card. It was fun to cut the card at the top at a diagonal to add a little flair to the card.

For Your Inspiration: FYI Challenge #6

Over at "For Your Inspiration" they have a challenge to make a card using this photo as your inspiration. Below are the cards that I made. I used the Hot Air Balloon set from PTI to make this set. I used my copics to color them in and the large scallop die from PTI for the border. I always try to make a couple cards until I get it exactly how I want. Card Candy Swap

This was the second thing I made for a SCS swap. You were to make card candy. Some thing you would dress up a card with. I love this Melon Berry paper from PTI and they even sell the felt (flower) and ribbon to match. Love these colors. I see now why I chose these colors as my wedding colors 34 years ago.

PTI July Swap

This was a card I made for a challenge on SCS using PaperTrey Ink Products. I love the doily die and the butterfly die from PTI. I made of 6 of these and I'm sure I will get fantastic cards back in the swap.

Wedding Card

This was another card that we made at stamp camp. This is going to make the perfect wedding card. Tis the season. We punched out the hearts and colored in the flowers with our Stampin Up Markers.

Fold over envelope card

I was looking for a card to put a little treat in and this is what I came up with. I just folded over about 1 1/2 inches and it makes a great little pocket card.

May Monthly Image Swap

This was our challenge image over at a group I am in on SCS. I just love the images that we receive every month. This is a Mo Manning Birthday Fairy Image. I had fun decorating this card with my copic markers. Please check out the other images HERE

Nurse Gift Bags

I made 5 of these gift bags for the nurses at work. The saying on the chex mix says "Nurses add a great "MIX" to our department". At the top of the bag you will see that I decorated the lanyards for their name tags. They seem to of went over pretty well at work.

More Fabulous Quilts

More beautiful quilts saw at the local quilt show. It has inspired me to come home and start a quilt. Who knows what I will try.

Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge

Occasionally I like to challenge myself and I came across The Hand Stamped Sentiments Challenge. I thought my graduation card for my nephew would be perfect. In the challenge you were to create a card. 3-D, or paper craft project with “SETS” in mind and pair it with a coordinating card to create a complete set.

So I thought I needed to do something with 2011 on it so I tabbed each bill and made it in to a card. Each tab you pull out has money attached to it. It was fun to make and I'm sure he will get a big kick out of it.

Quilt Show

I went to a local Machine Quilting Show today and saw some fabulous quilts. These are a few of my favorites.

I made this card for my friend Cass who is having a birthday today. This was a stamp set from Paper Trey Ink which I just love. Could be my new favorite.

Hot Air Balloons

This was card #5 from stamp camp. You have to love the clouds and balloons. A great way to use up your scraps. The balloons and clouds were from PTI.

Cat Window Card

This was the 4th card that we made at Stamp Camp. I love the cat peaking out of the window and the hinged side to the card.

Sun Fun

This card has a lot of neat techniques to it. I like the folded sides and the fun summer stamps. The eyelet just adding something to the boat on the front. I am so ready for summer.

Be sure and notice my new Flower frog that is holding the card. My friend Vannessa gave it to me and I love the oblong size.

Flower Card

I love everything about this card. We cut the leaves a bit to put over the ribbon. The card is cut at a slant and the flower was stamped on the lavender paper and cut out. Love it.

Happy Birthday Butterfly Card

This is the first card that we made at Stamp Camp over the weekend. I love the folds and the way the butterflies are on the wire. You could put any saying in this card that you like.

Graduation T-Shirt Quilt

I finally finished the t-shirt quilt that I have been working on. It is for a friend at work and she is going to give it to her son for graduation.






I love the way she provided his scout uniform from when he was little. I used the pocket and all his patches.
