Debbi's Quilt
Today I am going to post a picture of a quilt I made for my sister Debbi several years ago. She just now put it on her bed because she felt she couldn't put it on because her dogs would get on it. She has lost all her dogs now and decided to bring it out. Of course if you look close, you will see a cat on the quilt. I told her quilts are made to be loved (By animals and people). Of course that comes from me who has 2 cats permanently on my bed. She picked out the fabrics and this is what we came up with. Thanks Deb from helping provide pictures to my blog. Tomorrow I will have my second blue Christmas card to post.

Blue Christms Card
Yes, I am back. My sister reminds me when I haven't posted in a while. My creative mojo left me for a while and I have been extremely busy at work. I think things are about to slow down so my creativity is reappearing. I have several cards to post but I will start with my Christmas card that had to have blue in it. I used "A Tree for All Seasons" stamp from Stampin up. I just love that stamp set because it has a stamp for each season. I also used the snowflake cuttlebug embossing folder with my Marina Mist cardstock. A few little touches with the red ribbon and the SU scallop punches. A little extra blind was the blue stickles for snowflakes.
So I am back and just keep checking back to my blog for more creative projects.

Challenge is Orange
I was supposed to come up with a card using the color orange. I cut and embossed the orange background, cut 4 - 1 3/4" green squares, and then stamped on white the orange butterflies and the green leaf pattern. I then cut out 1 1/2" squares and adhered them to the green squares. I then added ribbon and the embossed butterflies from the Stampin Up butterfly die.

CK Convention
I went to the Creative Keepsake Convention in Kansas City this weekend and had a blast. I went with my sister and 2 of her friends who I now consider my friends. We took several fun classes and shopped until we couldn't shop any more. The first picture is of our classroom (Diecutting & Embossing) which we enjoyed and the second picture is a brief glimpse of the vendors. When I complete my projects from the convention I will post them but just wanted everyone to get a feel of what the convention is about. We are already planning next year knowing what we want to do different. So I am a little (okay a lot) poorer but sure had fun.

Baby Girl Card
Sorry I have been MIA for a while but I have been busy, busy, busy. This week I am going to be posting the card sets that I made for our craft sale at the hospital I work at. I didn't get much done but I always make things I like so if they don't sell I have plenty of cards for myself. This first card I used a stamp set from SU that I bought at a garage sale. Thought it turned out really cute.

Happy Fall
This was such a fun card to make. I borrowed the pumpkin idea from my SCS friend Oliva. Hope you don't mind. I made the pumpkin with the oval punch and punched out several different leaf designs. Reminds me of why I love this time of year. Fall Festivals, beautiful colors and wonderful pumpkin desserts.

Scallop card
This card was another card swap design that I came up with. I scalloped the bottom with a scallop punch and then another die cut over it. I always like it when you can see the inside of the card before you open it. These color choices are a little out of my comfort zone but I was determined to use something different.

First Christmas Card 2010
Well October is here and I guess it is time to start on my Christmas cards. I made this design for a card swap that uses PTI wreath stamp. I used Spellbinder Contemporary hearts for the background and stamped with pear pizazz from SU and added some red berries and red ribbon. Very simple but elegant also. Be sure and check back because I am back to my blog again and hope to put something new on every day.
