Challenge Your Stash

What a fun challenge we have this month on our Challenge Your Stash group.  Vicky was our hostess this month and she decided our challenge was Black and White.  I am needing Christmas cards so I decided to use an image that I had received in another swap.

I'm not sure of the stamp set design but I found some Christmas papers that I had in my scrap pile that were black and white.  I added a white snowflake on the santa image for a little interest.

Thanks again Vicky for a great challenge.

PIP Challenge #2421

Happy Memorial Day to all.  May we all remember the veterans who served for our country.

Today's challenge for Pammie's Inky Pinkies is sponsored by Newtons Nook Designs.Newtons Nook Designs.

I absolutely love this stamp company.  It is always hard for me to decide which of my fun stamps to use for the challenge.  I am a true lover of flowers of all kinds so I decided to use "Dainty DaisiesDainty Daisies" for my card this week.

I colored the image with my copic markers and then used the matching die to cut the image out.  Not much coloring required because I always think of white daisies but I know they come in several colors.  The papers I used are from Carta Bella Summer line.

Thanks to Newton's Nook Designs for sponsoring PIP Challenges this week.  I hope to see lots of entries in this weeks challenge.  You will want to check out Newton's Nook Designs because they are having a fantastic sale right now.

Creative Crew

Since today is the 15th, this means it is time for another challenge from our Creative Crew on Splitcoaststampers.

I was lucky enough to be the hostess this month.  I chose May because it is one of my favorite months of the year.  I love seeing all the flowers in bloom so of course my theme for this month is "It's all about the flowers".

I chose for an image "Tulips For You" by Penny Black.  I challenged my crew to use the whole image or just part of it.  I made 2 cards using the 2 different techniques.

For my first card, I just colored the image and then used a scallop rectangle to cut the image out.  The sentiment is from Sweet Lattice Sentiments from Waffle Flower.  The papers I used are "Foiled Floral" by The Paper Source.

For my second card I colored the image with my copic markers and then used a circle die to cut out the center of the image.  I also cut out a small circle of the yellow tulps to add at the bottom.  The butterly is from Taylored Expressions called Flutter-Bys.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the team did with the image.  You can see them by clicking on their names below.

PIP Challenge #2419

Time for Challenge #2419 over at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges.  Our sponsor this week is Polkadoodles.

You will find an amazing selection of digital images in their store.  For my card today I am decided to use the digital stamp "Bella Bear Daisies".

I started by printing the image off and coloring it with my copic markers.  I wanted to give my daisies some color so I went with different colors.  I love this image.  The Happy Birthday Sentiment was from a sheet of sentiments by Creative Expressions.  I added a few enamel dots in the corner to give  it a little pizazz.

Be sure and check out Polka Doodles store and I hope to see you over at PIP Challenges.

PIP Challenge #2417

Well I'm not sure where the month of April went but it looks like we are bringing it to an end.  I am loving all the flowers in bloom.  We planted a lilac bush this week and it brings such great memories of my childhood.  That scent is just tops in my book.

Our challenge this week for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenges is going to be a beach theme.

What a fun theme.  I pulled out some of my beach cards and came up with this card.

For my card I started by embossing a 4 x 5 1/4" piece of blue cardstock with a bubble folder I had.  I then cut out a white circle and sponged SU crumb cake ink to the bottom.  The palm trees and houses are from SU Waterfront Stamp set.  The birds are from SU High Tide.  The chair is a SU die from Seasonal Layers.

What a fun theme.  I hope to see alot of beach theme cards at PIP Challenges.  The winner will win a $10 gift certficate from Scrapbook.com.

Challenge Your Stash

Today is reveal day for our group "Creating!  Challenge Your Stash" over at Splitcoaststampers.  Every month we have a hostess who comes up with a theme where we can use some of our crafting stash.  I always look forward to this challenge because it gives me a chance to go through my stash.

Our challenge this month comes from Sharon and she challenged us to use ignored Designer Paper for one or more cards.  This was an easy challenge for me because I have so many sheets of ignored designer paper.

I found some colorful paper by Whimsy Stamps called Birthday Celebration.  I cut several of the sheets up in to 1/2" and 3/8" strips and just started laying them on the 4 x 5 1/4" sheet of white cardstock I had.  I then used the Stampin Up balloon punch to add a few balloons .  The sentiment is from It's Your Day from Taylored Expressions.  I used the matching day to cut out the sentiment.  I also added some black twine coming down from each balloon and tied a bow at the bottom bringing them all together.

Thanks to Sharon for a great challenge this month.

Creative Crew

Today is one day late for my post for our creative crew group.  I had a design team post I had to make for yesterday so I thought I would post my card today.

Terry was our hostess this month and she selected our theme for April will be "It's Party Time".  What a great theme.

The image we are using is Festive Balloons by Simon Says Stamps.  I thought this was a very fun image to work with.  I colored up 2 images that were cut out using the matching die.  For the front of the card I put the image on just a piece of the front folded card.  Then when you open it, you will see another image that I put on the inside using pop dots.  The designer paper is Stampin Up Pattern Party.  I found the gems in my stash and thought I would add them.

What a fun card.  Will make the perfect birthday card.  Be sure and check out and see what the rest of the team did.
